“A few comments 3 months later: after the initial re-sharpening, the edge keeps its sharpness excellently. This knife is very light, and in combination with its sharpness and being ground very thin, it is a real joy to work with, both veggies and meat. I love its rustic aesthetics (you can see how the blade was hammered, and as a hand work, it is not 100 % symmetric), and how the blade literally rings when knocking on the board. Excellent value!”

“I orderd this knife to germany, after 2 days the package was already deliverd. The knife will be delivered in japanese newspaper and the blade is also coverd by a case. The edge is ridicilously thin. Maybe you should think about to sharp a microbevel, so it shall be more stable. You get much better cutting perfomace than other stainless knifes of solingen or some place else. Straight after usinger it you have to wipe it dry because the knife is non stainless. I can truely recommend it for someone who likes to cook.”
“Excellent price/performance ratio, a nice rustic blade with real kurouchi (no lacquer), thin grind, very well balanced. Out of the box, it needed some sharpening though. Handle (lacquered) not up to much, needs some sandpapering to make it flush with the plastic ferrule, or even better it should be replaced altogether.”
