“The box is a great idea, however the batter for the AI500 doesn’t fit well into the box with the battery plugged in . The box is just not big enough to accommodate that battery type. The plug cord needs to be severely bent to make it fit into the box. Please advise on how this can be resolved.”
“The battery box ... I'm just coming into walking season, so I haven't really used it yet. The plug in the box that goes into the battery seems lightweight to what I'm used to. Hopefully it holds up. But I have to admit I feel a bit safer with the battery in the box!”
“Box looks to be very good at containing any fires. However for the Ai battery the cable had to be modified so that it could fit inside the box connected to the battery. To modify it I pushed the shrink wrap protecting the wire back and used a small piece of electrical tape to keep the wires connected to the battery connections. The battery now fits tightly in the box and can be charged with the lid closed”
“The box seems to accomplish the goal of having fire protection. There are two flaws in the box. First, the cable inside the box is too short by a couple of inches. The cable has to be attached to the battery when it is outside the box. The short cable makes it harder to reach to the battery. Second, the connection does not easily fit into the battery. It is not nearly as smooth as the regular connector.”
