Note: Anyone just getting into Arkham Horror LCG should get the revised core set over this version. This version is currently best for getting duplicate core encounter sets used in other campaigns. Arkham Horror LCG is an amazingly flexible game with strong narrative elements. Every scenario has its own unique twist on the base formula and each investigator approaches deckbuilding and scenarios differently. It works amazingly well as a solo game, but the emergent narrative that arrises with a multiplayer group is delightful and keeps me coming back for more.

This is a solid 2 player set and you are getting everything for the first campaign. The downsides are the cards for all the starter decks are mixed up and campaign cards are all in the same bag, so some organizing will be necessary before the first game.

Absolutely go for revised if you can't pick up two of these for cheap. Snagged a couple on sale for the spare encounter sets and couldn't be happier.

An amazing LCG with strong thematic storytelling. I highly recommend if you’re a solo player.

I got this at a stupendous discount and it's easily one of the best-value card game purchases I've made. However, be advised that this version of the core set only comes with half the cards you need to build functional decks, and does not include a bag to draw chaos tokens from, so definitely order two
