There was no doubt that this one had to be in my collection. Its a slow but steady power house with the right combination of upgrade cards. Plus its a great looking miniature to boot.

This is one of the ships I bought when I first got into the game and I have to say it is still one of my favorites. Its bulky combined hull and shield value really makes t a bit of a tank, and the fact it can equip a turret allows you to fly more defensively rather than having to focus on getting a ship into arc. That said the ship does suffer from a few problems, especially when there are a number of ships that can take its roll and be generally more consistent with it. That said with the Most Wanted expansion, which can be found on this site, you gain even more options allowing the chance for multiple attacks as well as the use of the bomb upgrades. So even despite any issues it may have, this is yet another ship I would recommend. Besides if you plan to reenact the battle of Yavin you will need to at least buy a few of them.

This is my first purchase from Miniature Market! and I'll be ordering from them always!! As for the item, product was packaged clearly by professionals. I went with the 5.99 shipping and arrived quickly. As for the Y-Wing, if your a Star Wars fan your gonna want this on the table. Fun to play.

Missiles, torpedoes or as a turret ship, the Y-wing has its uses. As with all ships that are more of a tank and less maneuverable, you need to fly some escort craft around it to keep it alive. It can take *some* punishment before going out, but it definitely has the ability to dish out more damage to your opponent's fleet than what you paid to field it. K-wing upgrade cards make the Y-wing more useful as well, so if you get one, make sure you get the other for variety in your Rebel fleet.

Great value for the price but I didn't really get into using the y-wing's that much. Very slow ships - they can take a beating and ion cannons are fun. But I prefer some of the more heavy hitters. Decent ship. But there's better ones out there.

The Y-Wing was one of the first ships I bought when I got into X-wing. I stupidly bought it from another store; it was much more expensive there than on Miniature Market (9.99 for small ships is ridiculously good). First, downsides: their elite pilots don't have elite pilot talent slots. 2 attack dice and 1 defence dice is shabby. I can remember one instance in a game against a buddy where I destroyed a Y-Wing of his by turn 2 (a TIE Defender, Vader, and several TIE Fighters blew him away). Even with 8 total HP, you can get blown away by a good opponent with some lucky dice rolls. However, things are looking up for the Y-Wing. The BTL-A4 title card in the Most Wanted expansion gives the ability to fire a turret in the forward arc and the primary weapon both in one turn. The K-Wing expansion comes with a Twin-Laser Turret, which when coupled with the BTL-A4 title card, makes the Y-Wing a monster to fight. If you can get 2 of these guys lined up on Soontir Fel, he's probably done. In conclusion, this expansion by itself is so-so; but as you expand your collection, the Y-Wing becomes much better.

The model(one of my personal favorites for it's attention to detail) is good as are all X-Wing models. You want a quick, tournament ready squad as of Wave 7? Get 4 of these, and go buy 2 K-Wings. Take the 4 Twin Laser Turret cards from the K-Wings and put them on the Y-Wings. You're done, you now have a tournament ready list. Gameplay wise the Y-Wing is a tank. It's the default turret ship for the Rebels, and rightly so with the many buffs it's been getting since Wave 6. Right now, it seems you can't go wrong with a Y-Wing.

The BTL-S3 Y-Wing is one of the toughest ships in the Rebel fleet, and I absolutely love it for that reason. Paired with the BTL-A4 upgrade from Most Wanted and the Twin Laser Turret from the K-Wing, the Y-Wing becomes one of the most devastating Front-Arc ships in the game. A squadron of them can easily tear through anything on the board. I will definitely buy more, just to see how over-powered a full wing of them in Epic Play can be.
