Enforce the Might of the Empire! The Raider-class corvette was designed to support Star Destroyers, employing close-range anti-fighter weapons such as powerful ion cannon batteries and retractable twin heavy laser cannons. The modularity of its armaments and its ability to operate independently for long periods of time resulted in many of these ships being utilized as Outer Rim patrol craft or being posted in a more prestigious role as heavy support for covert missions. This pack includes everything you need to add one Raider-class corvette and one TIE Advanced to your game. The Raider adds a fierce anti-fighter platform to the Imperial fleet, featuring iconic Imperial villains like Grand Moff Tarkin and the Emperor. This pack also contains a branching campaign of missions, following a Raider that is set with testing out the new TIE Advanced. In addition to these cinematic missions, Imperial players can field the Raider in Epic Play format, allowing for massive fleets to face off in a large-scale space battles!Contents:1 Rulebook1 Mission Booklet1 Raider-class Corvette Ship1 TIE Advanced Ship2 Large Plastic Bases2 Plastic Extension Pegs1 Plastic Base2 Plastic Pegs1 Raider Ship Token4 TIE Advanced Ship Tokens1 Raider Maneuver Dial1 Raider Maneuver Template1 Huge Ranger Ruler- Range 1-3 Ruler Section- Range 3-5 Ruler Section- 2 Pairs Plastic Connectors16 Energy Tokens2 Target Lock Tokens (MM, NN)12 Shield Tokens4 Ion Tokens1 Focus Token1 Evade Token1 Reinforce Token1 Stress Token1 Campaign Progress Sheet13 Mission Tokens1 Reference Card10 Fore Damage Cards10 Aft Damage Cards8 Ship Cards- 1 Raider-class Corvette (Fore Section)- 1 Raider-class Corvette (Aft Section)- 1 Juno Eclipse- 1 Zertik Strom- 1 Commander Alozen- 1 Lieutenant Colzet- 1 Storm Squadron Pilot- 1 Tempest Squadron Pilot34 Upgrade Cards- 4 Advanced Targeting Computer- 4 TIE/x1- 1 Proton Rockets- 1 Cluster Missiles- 1 Captain Needa- 1 Grand Moff Tarkin- 1 Emperor Palpatine- 1 Admiral Ozzel- 2 Shield Technician- 1 Gunnery Team- 1 EnginneringTeam- 1 Sensor Team- 2 Single Turbolasers- 4 Ion Cannon Battery- 2 Quad Laser Cannons- 1 Tibanna Gas Supplies- 1 Engine Booster- 1 Backup Shield Generator- 1 Comms Booster- 1 Assailer- 1 Instigator- 1 ImpetuousThis is not a stand-alone game. The Imperial Raider is a neat addition to my X-Wing collection. I was pleased to find that it even has a 5 mission campaign to go with the Raider that I plan on playing with a friend. While the raider isn't likely to see a ton of time in matches, it's a fun piece to look at and compare to other ships in my collection. A little pricey but fun addition non-the less.

Love, the ship. It is very Empire. The upgrade cards are great, especially Palpatine and the Tie Advanced title cards. However the paint quality of the ship is just decent and the Tie-Interceptor like solar panels are very flappy and in my case came bent.

Do not get in this thing's way, or its side arcs for that matter. Get ready for an 8 attack onslaught if caught in a worse case scenario.

A very fun ship. Great Upgrades and it even brings decent elements to standard game play. This set made Tie Advanced viable in the Standard Tournament play. This is a must buy!!

To be honest, I haven't gotten in to the Epic play yet. I got this expansion mostly for the ridiculously awesome cards it comes with. Hello Vader on TIE Advanced!! FFG did a nice reset on this classic fighter!!

The Raider represents the first completely original ship created for X-Wing miniatures (and also the card game and armada). Visually, it's awesome with a look clearly inspired by the Star Destroyers (which are too big to ever really be represented in X-Wing) and covered with turrets and other cool details. More importantly, it finally gives the Empire a chance to run a huge ship in Epic/Cinematic play. Beyond the Raider, the expansion set also comes with a lot of upgrades, primarily improving the TIE Advanced. The Advanced has been one of the weakest ships in the game with even the legendary Darth Vader struggling for relevance. This expansion turns that around by giving them a title to add system upgrades AND reduce the cost of those upgrades a lot. At most, a system upgrade might cost 1 point beyond the Advance itself, adding quite a few awesome options. And even if you don't own an Advanced already, the expansion comes with one and a few new pilots to use their shiny new toys. There's enough copies of the title and the new system upgrade to equip four Advanced (the most you could possibly get into a 100 point list).

Everyone who plays x-wing knows why this is purchased. The four copies of the Tie Advanced upgrades. Are the upgrades good? Yes. Is it worth the price, maybe. I have never once played an epic game, but, now I might. The Raider looks awesome and great on a shelf. The Tie advanced that comes is just a repaint, but the new pilots are good. If it wasn't for the Tie Adv. upgrades, I would have never purchased this.
