“The metal frame is extremely well made, beautiful and substantial. The chair is comfortable, and the leather is nice. The issue is that no matter how hard we try, we are unable fasten the snaps that hold the back cushion to the frame. As a result, the cushion won’t stay in place. Frustrating for the maker to get so many difficult-to-deliver things so right and one typically simple thing so wrong...”

Hi Carrie - Yes, the snaps can be a bit tricky to snap. We use industrial strength, marine grade stainless steel snaps. They are meant to stay snapped during use. The only way to explain how to snap is: Do one snap at a time, line up the two sides and squeeze together with strong fingers or with the palm of your hands, one hand on the frame and the other hand pressing against the leather. “My rating above speaks for everything about the pair of chairs I ordered from you -- the frames, cushions and leather. And, they are a perfect fit in my living room. I looked at a few other Barcelonas on the web prior to ordering yours, some cheaper and some higher priced, and didn't see anything that I thought compared. Well, maybe the Knoll "original" but I think it was 4-5 times more expensive. Thank you!”

“Very happy with my two Barcelona chairs from Modern Classics. I requested, and promptly received, leather swatches for the colors I was considering, the ordering process was seamless and my chairs arrived promptly, well-packaged and in flawless condition. And there’s a great selection of leather colors to choose from. I have two Knoll “licensed” Pavillion chairs in my other home and these from Modern Classics are constructed as well as those. Side-by-side, you’d be hard pressed to notice any difference.”
