Unlike many dog bed fillers on the market, our wool inserts are nontoxic, 100% all-natural, and chemical-free. Wool is naturally thermoregulating, so pets stay cool in summer and warm in winter.
We only work with farms that have strict growing standards:
sheep are rotated amongst a number of pastures to allow vegetation to recover from grazing
we encourage alternative medical care to keep the sheep healthy with the fewest chemicals possible
no herbicides or pesticides are used in the fields where sheep will be grazing
to go even further, our wool is randomly spot-tested for harmful chemicals
wool from the sheep's bottom & belly are separated and sold to other customers
These inserts are perfectly sized for our standard dog bed covers.

“This is my dogs' review--not mine!! The bed seems fine and comfortable to me, but my dogs beg to differ. I have three dogs (all Collies) and this is their least favorite bed. They often seem to prefer lying on the carpeted floor to lying on this bed. Needless to say, I am disappointed. I have tried changing the location of the beds, placing this one in their favorite location, but they still do not seem to want to use it. Admittedly, we have only had it for a couple of weeks, and I will update my review if things change, but at this time they are showing a definite preference for either flattened old poly-fil or supportive memory foam mattresses.”

Hi Christine - Thank you very much for the thoughtful review. Here's a suggestion to help with adoption of your new Molly Mutt wool-filled bed. Try taking an old t-shirt or other soft item that has your scent on it - it can be washed it doesn't need to be dirty - and zip it between the wool insert and the decorative cover. Some dogs might need a little extra to feel comfortable and by adding some of your scent to the new bed you may find that it does the trick!

“Unfortunately, this had to be returned. It not only smelled of a barnyard animal, but I believe the natural lanolin in the wool ended up making the cover looked greased? It was also so flat to the ground once my small dogs laid on it that they had to send me more wool. I had to fluff it and vacuum it every day and when I went to put more wool in somehow there was mold growing on the bottom. Sadly, customer service was not thrilled and very defensive saying it was more a me problem than a them problem. So rather than letting me keep it and figure out a solution at a discounted price they preferred I return it for a full refund. I wonder if this "review" will even show up so others can make their decisions based on it. Best of luck!”

“We adopted a rescue dog who’d been in the shelter 9 months. It had really taken a toll on her, so we wanted her to be comfy and know she’s home. Great quality and dog loves it. She puts herself To bed at night and goes into her kennel to nap all throughout the day since getting this bed and the MM cover.”

“I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and fill of the bed. No skimping on the wool at all. Well and thoughtfully made. The doggos seem to THOROUGHLY enjoy it, which is all that matters. THANK YOU, MOLLY MUTT for a great product. I will be a repeat customer.”

“My elderly pup loves this bed. It seems to be more supportive for her than her other beds. She can lay in it comfortably for hours with minimal adjustment.”
