“I've been using the device for a few months and I really like it. The videos could be a little shorter though. It starts recording as soon as the device connects all the way up to when it tells you to take a breath. If they could start recording when it says "take a deep breath", the videos would be a lot shorter and would be a lot quicker for uploads and less memory for wherever they're stored.
Just my 2 cents. Lol.
All in all, I love it. I also recommend it to my attorney who said they would suggest it for other clients on some of their cases as well.

“i switched from soberlink to bactrack after a year of using soberlink. i find that having an accountability partner and setting a BAC goal helps me drink less. great tool for harm reduction and also helpful if your goal is total sobriety. i have had some issues with the app closing on iphone during up upload and then i have to do it again. overall, nice small device that works well with iphone app.”
“These units are expensive, and the small print is you have to send them back every year to be calibrated. Apparently because I didn't do that, it "can't be calibrated" so I'm forced to buy a new one. They offered a 40.00 coupon, but I'm not happy with that. Aslo they said if they shipped back my "old one" they would NOT OFFER THE 40.00 COUPON. HMMMM, I wondere why not!? the unit I bought was a high end one, and I used it very little. Would consider other manufactures at this point.”
“I've tried cancelling this product three times. The online cancelation portal tells you it'll send you an email with a scannable code to send the device back, but they never send the email. So after trying that twice I call. I talk to someone and the man said he would send out something immediately to send the device back and cancel the subscription. It's been a week and still nothing. It's either a scam to get another months subscription dues out of me or the system is so badly designed they can't let you leave. Either way you don't want or need this product and you can't cancel it when you realize this.”
“It works well for people who are basically stationary in their daily lives, but there are two key problems that make it unusable for people on the move. The most ridiculous one they cannot seem to fix is it's inability to adjust to changes in time zones. I fly frequently and my test schedule never adapts to my new time zone, so I am notified to take a test based on the time zone I was in when the schedule was created. Second, it is entirely dependent on real-time internet connectivity, so if you are in an area where you cannot get an SMS reminder to take your test, you fail. Or, if your reception is good enough for to receive a text but not transmit your test results and video, you fail. That's me. I'm succeeding in my recovery but failing my breath tests because this system wasn't designed for people who move around. I've reported these problems and they say this shouldn't be happening, but cannot fix it, so I have had to set the system aside and tell my accountability partners to take me at my word that I am doing fine. It kind of defeats the purpose. Meanwhile, crickets from tech support.”
