Absolutely perfect! I love it!It was a blast to build.Somewhere I screwed up and had to take the statue apart and rebuild (due to a missing part).I still couldn't find it, so I switched one 'unseen inner' for another, to compensate.

Great little project and much cheaper than the 2foot high one.

I have been anticipating this set since it was announced and I purchased it on the first day it was available. The set did not disappoint! The build was challenging but very fun with several interesting building techniques. There is some repetition on the pedestal section which is to be expected. However, the base looks excellent when finished.Lady Liberty herself looks great from all angles. The use of many smaller bricks and building techniques adds realistic texture to the model. Truly an impressive representation of an iconic symbol.Because of all the small pieces and texture, the model can be a bit fragile. Some of the pieces can fall off when handling or moving the model. This means playability of this set is limited. Of course, this is not a factor when it is used as a display piece.Using the flat plate for the face is a bit of a disappointment it would have been nice to have a print or texture instead.Overall this is a fantastic set and a great addition to the architecture line.

This is gorgeous! We made this a family project, instead of board games or jigsaw puzzles on family night we've been working on this!I've been trying to subtly interest the kids in architecture, because if I could live my life again I think I'd be an architect (or geologist. Can't decide.) I love the lego architecture series! This is my favorite, though, because I also love the statue of liberty.Like the building it represents, this is a work of art. We've had a lot of fun with this, and I hope the kids are nurturing an interest in art and architecture while we have fun building this. When it's finished I want to display it. It's going to look awesome! We've learned a lot of historical facts while we play, and we have little trivia contests based on the statue of liberty while we work on it.It's not just a toy, it's part of their education, and a family bonding experience.

This is a great addition to the LEGO adult-oriented architecture series. It's quite a bit different from the others available in the series, though. They're all/mostly all buildings or other structures. This, to my knowledge, is the first with a "face." It's not really a face, though, which is disappointing. With all the LEGO characters out there (with faces), couldn't they have given the Statue of Liberty some sort of face that wasn't too cartoony? I guess you could drawn your own on the flat piece of LEGO that they give you for the face. If it's displayed from a little distance in your house with other LEGO architecture sets, the face (or lack thereof) won't even be noticeable. Putting it together amounts to the same amount of fun and challenge as putting together a jigsaw puzzle (but with instructions), so it's a great exercise for your brain.

This set is labeled for 16+ but that hasn't discouraged the household of all ages from attempting it. Well, the 8+ at least. In fact they BEGGED until I gave in and let them open an hour before bedtime. Since it comes with the usual precise packaging and guide that Lego is the expert at doing, the kids dived in. It took them about an hour to get the base built and the rest is still in process during spurts of interest and activity. We are treating this like a big jigsaw puzzle throughout the July 4th holiday week for all comers to try their hands at for a few hours and then mark where they left off. It seemed a very fitting way to celebrate Independence Day and is a hit so far.
