“Went together easily - it was a good refresher for my non-smd soldering skills. Instructions were sufficient. The radio actually sounds decent, even without a case. I ended up gluing a piece of wood to the back as a brace so that it can stand up better on its own - it will stand up with a battery installed, but tends to fall over easily.”
“Had a great time building this. In 2020 I spent a lotOf time not working on keeping up my soldering skills. I got this kit to help with that. In the end it was a fun easy project that kept me working!-)”
“Fairly easy to assemble. I did end up using all the solder provided so if you plan on making a few mistakes maybe pick up another tube. I had to redo a few little things. But the troubleshooting in the paperwork made it easy. Well worth the few bucks for this little radio.”
“Good components and very good IFU. Not easy to solder, it is easier after adding extra flux. Not too font on how the components are packed (wrapped around cardboard). Makes the components easy to identify but order don’t match the instructions and as the legs have been bend, it is harder to get a nice straight assembly.”
“I bought this to give a a birthday present. It came in a ziplock bag - no box or other packaging. May be a great kit; but the packaging makes it feel like it's a second hand gift.”
“This was my first soldering project kit and it was a fun project. Instructions were well written and easy to follow. The radio worked the first time! The only things I would want are a digital readout to show the FM channel you are on, and an earphone jack.”
