Uses lights, sounds, and movement. The booklet gives so many different ways to set up the circuits.

We spent time after Christmas building things for him and he got so excited and wanted to build things for himself. He is learning so much and it's just enough challenge that I can help nudge him in the right direction and he figures it out. It's bringing him so much joy and confidence. The diagrams are perfect, though slightly confusing to begin with in the more advanced projects but completely doable!

My 7 year old experiment loving child just loved it. The whole family had fun learning for hours. We plan to purchase add-on kits.

This is a fun and educational kit and works great for my 5yo with some help from a parent.

Like others, I think the headline says it all. Perfect antidote to screen obsessed. I'm no electrical expert and don't know even the fundamental principles behind this simple, but extremely well designed set. So the boy is doing it solo, which is even more awesome. First day breaking it out after Christmas and he's been on it for several hours already.I will definitely recommend this set to parental friends.Just a little critique: the instruction book seems to be designed and written by and for electrical engineers. It needs to be updated graphically and the text could be a little more consumer novice-friendly. Again, minor quibble.
