So many options to build

This is awesome...bought it for my 7yo who talks nonstop about the many inventions he wants to build but who seldom has the attention span to even build a lego set. I was worried he’d get frustrated and walk away, but it held his attention, AND the excitement and pride when he assembled a project was apparent. After a few hours of working through the book, however, he decided he “knew everything” and was now capable of making his own projects by randomly snapping things together. The instruction provides clear warnings about improper assembly, so we had to take a pause for a while, as neither he nor us knew what he was doing. But it certainly sparked his interest, and I’m sure there will be more of these sets in his future.

This is amazing! My 6 yr old & 8 yr old are in love. They can build independently. The book is amazing too. Good science info in manageable chunks. They build then read one paragraph about what that one teaches you. Quality educational material!

This thing is crazy cool! We purchased this as a gift for our 9 year old son. He typically isn’t interested in stuff that isn’t a video game or LEGO minifigures. He tends to get frustrated fairly easily or loses interest if a project is too intricate. We of course still encourage him to try new things and thought the snap circuit kit might be fun, but in all honesty I was doubtful about if he’d get into it. He wasn’t impressed when we first gave it to him, but as soon as I opened it up and he saw all the parts his interest piqued. What I love about it is the ease of use and the simplicity, the first few projects only require 4 or 5 pieces and take a minute or two to put together. It’s basically instant gratification, which is exactly what my son needed to get hooked. In just a couple steps he had built a circuit that lit a tiny light and he thought it was awesome. The second was the circuit with the fan, again maybe a minute to build and he was amazed. Each project requires the slightest bit more skill but it’s very slow and gradual, I really like that because it doesn’t get super complicated quickly. Each project explains what you’re building and how it works. It’s a very simple kit but extremely well thought out, the different pieces vary enough that each project is different and exciting. I thought my son would be done after two or three projects but he blew through 10 and was excited about each one. He also started experimenting with different connections to see what would work and what didn’t and came up with ideas for why. I can’t say enough about this little kit, it is totally awesome and I genuinely think any kid with any range of interest or ability would thoroughly enjoy it.
