it's the first time that my kid (10y) is building something except LEGO, it was so easy to understand the instructions and learn how electricity is working , just great gift

I gave it as a gift to three brothers who are very bright. They love to experiment with they different ways to put it together. What they may not realizes is they are learning the basics of electrical circuits.

This was a birthday gift to 8yo son. He enjoys building Legos but they are quite expensive to buy. Building circuits turn out to be quite as fun as building legos for him but be sure to guide your children in building these circuits as you dont want to short circuit and possibly damage the parts. The whistle chip does not work after several attempts to troubleshoot it but fortunately there is a webpage you can visit to order for replacement parts.I dont regret buying this kit because you would otherwise spend more to buy all the other kits to get the complete parts.

Great product. First thing I did (and the instructions recommended you do it.) Is inventory the parts . They are all there. The instructions state to contact them if anything is missing. Parts are very easy to assemble. The initial circuits are very simple, but they increase in complexity until you get to the final projects. Here you download oscilloscope software in order to analyze the circuitry as an electrical engineer might. There's material at their website to access educational material. The most expensive set has teaching material for parents and teachers. Great if you want to teach STEM or STEAM (Science, technology, electronics and math in a single course.). Because the projects run from the basic to the more complex and the written material available, I think this is great for everyone no matter their age or ability level. The age range is from 8 to 180. I recommend the 8 and 180 yr old be supervised (at least the 8 yr old should be). My age is somewhere in the middle. Between doing the projects and studying the material I am easily staying busy. Also, due to age and family history, I am concerned with Alzheimer's. Stimulating the brain and gaining new knowledge and skills reduces the risk of getting it or its effects. I would give it 5 stars (This is my only con!), but for the fact the oscilloscope software for this particular kit is not available. But the site does say if it's not to contact their customer service and request the download. Highly recommend!

It is very good way to introduce electricity to kids. My kids like to play with this set. First, they used instruction. Then they started to create their own circuit.
