“I bought these for my 8-year-old son and he loved it. I wanted him to move on from playing Legos to something that uses the same principle, but more rewarding. I guess it worked out. Now, he loves it and wants morePros:- good build quality- clear instructions- variety of projects- also, fun projectsCons:- a bit pricey, but it'd worth the money”
“Got it as a gift for my 7-year old son from friends. Now that he’s 10, he’s not as interested anymore as my 5-year-old. I’d say the age might not be a sole factor there but it’s the interest that matters the most. My 5-year-old son has been able to follow instructions on his own and has been building different projects since he was mid 4 years old. Does not require too much reading. Illustrations/pictures on the instruction manual most of the time are good enough. He feels very accomplished when he sees the results of his projects. Since it’s intended for 8 and up, I make sure I’m there to watch him or his brother for his safety which I don’t think is a big problem even without assistance but then again, it’s just to be sure...Projects he has done included: creating different sounds, music like Christmas songs, being able to connect to a radio station (he was able to listen to a Spanish station which we don’t understand ) but still! And he was able to light the bulbs.I’m an adult and I’m still amused! When we have guests here, he builds with them too. Guests are amazed with the projects too.Battery operated but does not consume too much. The box kinda got worn from opening and closing, I was hoping they used thicker cardboard or a better case.Overall would recommend!”
