“After having a wonderful experience with our original set of Snap Circuits, my son was super excited to get this new, larger light kit. Unfortunately, there are quality control issues with this kit, as many of the pieces don't make the proper connection when snapped together to light up the lights. When we move the blue S connectors slightly, they would work, but you have to hold them. They stopped working when snapped in. We used brand new batteries and changed them several times hoping that was the issue, but it wasn't. Our son was really looking forward to receiving this set and is extremely disappointed to have to return it.”
“I bought 2 sets for my grankids 8 years old $80 a piece. One of the sets shorted and burned the kids finger. Not sure if this unit was defective? why did it short circuit? when she tried to push the battery in its place it got hot for some reason and burned her finger. We took the toy away from her due to safety concerns and will try to call mfg. to get an explanation. None of the reviews I read showed any safety related concerns. I am assuming this was a defective unit! I would like to send it back but I see return window closed on May 31st. The kid didn't open the box for few months, it was left in storage and after opening she just played twice last 3 months. First time around she did OK but 2nd time she played she had her finger burnt. I would not recommend purchasing it.”
“Our son received a set of Snap Circuits for a previous birthday, and asked for another set this year. We thought it might be redundant, but bought it anyway. It has been nice having extra pieces and more projects. He loves it, and so do we!”
