“I ordered 2 units and neither worked out of the box. The 4mm pin was not secured with a set screw and was jamming the mechanism as it opened. It was necessary to hold the pin upright while in operation so the retract could fully extend which then allowed access the set screw threaded hole. Only one set screw was provided with each unit even though there are 2 set screw holes, one on each side. I supplied another set screw so each retract had 2 set screws securing the 4mm pin. Unfortunately the pin was not machined with flat spots so the the wheel turned 90 deg. almost immediately. I disassembled the entire retract and filed 2 flat spots at the set screw contact points on the 4mm pin and the retracts seem to now work OK. These retracts could not have been inspected or tested prior to shipping. Motion RC is my #1 go-to RC supplier and the quality of their products up to this point has been flawless. I noticed good reviews on this product so I assume I received a few lemons. Any others in stock should be tested before selling.”
