“If upgrading the landing gear on Flightline P38, I would recommend the small extra cost of this gear retract. When replacing the nose gear with orginial gear retract, it requires taking the retract apart to get the gear into the trunion. Good luck getting the retract housing back together and working again. This retract makes it much easier, as its been redesigned from original retract to not require disammbly to attach new gear strut. It works well, and is worth the extra cost to simplify installing upgraded landing gear on plane.”

“Had a P-38 Lightning with some age on it and the nose gear E-clip broke. Tried to find the right size E-clip and could not. Was very happy to see the nose gear retract was still available and I purchased immediately. Gear went in without too much effort and works perfectly. So happy to see that I can still buy parts and keep my older planes flying.”
