“This retract fits both the Stinger 90 and the T45. I have both planes and have had problems with the nosegay which is type B. On the Stinger the gear wouldn’t come down on at least 2 occasions which resulted in a skid in landing and torn off gear doors. On the T45 I’ve had 2 occasions that the gear only went up halfway or not at all. I can’t figure out what’s causing this problem whether it’s a defective retract or a voltage problem since they all work fine on the bench then once in the air under a load they quit working. Overall I’m not satisfied with these units.”
“I have begun replacing all my unreliable Dynam retracts with these FW retracts. The FW retracts have not failed me yet. Flying is so much more enjoyable when you do not have to worry if your gear will work!”
“It works fine. But it has a flat surface for grub screw secure site on one side of shaft only. Both sides of the shaft need flat surface areas for attaching the gear parts by grub screws.”
