“I've had mine in the air about 20 times now , really likening this little 3s jet ! I installed the wheel set and take off on pavement and gravel no problem.... short grass takes some distance .”
“he reviews I read before purchasing this edf were all positive. This is a very fun jet to fly. Its stable as long as you can hand launch without issue. Its also easy to upgrade should you desire more speed as you grow into it. For $100 bucks I would recommend this to anyone looking for a thrilling plane to fly.”
“Maidened this plane today in windy gusty conditions and this plane handled it just fine. Also my first edf plane too what a blast it was to fly this plane! Definitely gets your heart pounding but in a good way. I received lots compliments on this jet after landing on the maiden flight. Also assembly was a piece of cake. This was my first purchase from Motion Rc and I will definitely buy from them again a pleasure to do business with and very fast shipping. Can't wait to get more flights in on this plane!”
“Shipping was fast as always. The plane came in a plain white box with no labeling, which is ok with me. The contents were all there and in perfect condition. Waiting for good weather to maiden it. I will review it after the first flights. Thanks Motion RC for another quality product at reasonable prices.”
“Rating is based before first flight. With the prescribed battery of a 1800 3S battery the center of gravity is unattainable unless you carve some foam and move the battery forward. Even with a heavy 3S 2200MaH battery the cg is still slightly tail heavy and this makes me nervous to fly. The prescribed cg is 60 to 70mm from the leading edge of the wing so at best 65mm was not allowable with a stock aircraft. I reccomend getting crafty and carving some foam and fitting a 3S 2200 for flight time. Post flight review soon.”
“Motion RC, another home run! First off, love how fast you gentlemen ship. Superior! The stinger just arrived today and quicker than spit I had her at the field. Super simple build. Set it up on my tactic TTX850 with dual rates running at 45% and 65% respectively and 40% expo on all. Threw in a 3s 2200 60c battery all the way forward for a CG at 68mm and tossed it in the air. Took of nice and true with an exquisite climb out. Trim was spot on and it was nothing but pure joy and shear excitement! No bad habits and very stable. The expo was just right and it behaved splendidly. Not twitchy at all. Plenty of speed and very nice snappy aerobatics. Ran a couple batteries though it and amazingly I was able to get 6 minutes per battery with 11.3v remaining. I was not full throttle constantly but did wring it out a several times on the climbs and especially the down hill fly byes. Just can't get enough of this little speedster! Well done Motion RC, flies just like your video showed. All I can say is...SWEET!”
“Awesome bird. Fast delivery as always from motionrc. Well packaged. A breeze to put together, but be sure to attach the short Y cable to the ailerons and the long to the elevator. Fan was perfectly balanced straight out of the box. I have had 6 flights with her so far and all very smooth. Lot of power compared to my Blitzrcworks mini EDFs (F-22, L-39, T-45, Mirage). Able to do nice big loops. Rolls are defined. I tried a number of different CGs and have settled on 70mm from the wing LE. I'm flying with Admiral 1800mah 3s batts recommended by motionrc. My flight times are about 5:30, but I'm not gunning the throttle the whole time. Very nice and predictable glide path. I followed someone's recs of 6mm aileron throws and found that a bit twitchy (but I'm new to EDFs), so I turned it down to about 5mm throw each way. I wish Freewing sent the bird with the control wires attached to the furthest hole on the control surface and/or closer on the servo horn. Since I had to dial the throws way down, I feel like I've lost some resolution. I have my elevators on 10mm and Rudder at 14mm. For high rates which I have not used yet: Ail 10mm, Ele 14mm, Rud 20mm. I'm really glad I bought this bird. In fact I'm now wishing I spent the extra money and got the Stinger 64HP. So, I guess I'll be adding an HP version to my shopping cart real soon!”
