I read a bunch of reviews positive and negative about this plane. I was a bit worried to purchase but at the price could not resist. Had my maiden during my lunch today and this plane flies perfect. Flies like its on rails and smooth. Only had to give it a slight bit up elevator and boom perfecto. I honestly love it and this plane will be in my regular rotation.

When I got it, one of the servo wires were broken, both ailerons had cracks in them, and it was also missing hardware that I needed to complete the build.

What a great flyer, and a very straight forward build. Maiden was spot on, with only a slight need of up trim. Landing was super smooth and with thrust reverse on the roll out couldn't be happier. Its a keeper, way to go motion on the V2

Excellent warbird. Definitely heavy in the air but flys on rails. A very good first jet as it’s predictable. Needs about 5mm of up elevator on the ground or it will nose dive Also needs about 2 oz of additional nose weight as it’s super sensitive with a CG too far back. Watch the clown trying to fly it tail heavy in the RC saylors you tube review. Very easy to build.

The build was very frustrating. The first thing I've noticed was damage on the right wing, looked like it was melted. The wiring for the EDF were not taped individually as a set of three plugs per fan l, nope the plugs were wrapped in one bundle which led to trying to figure out what wires go where and why the fans are working and then not. I alos had to cut out portions of the fuselage to make the esc wires fit. No wires were labeled so a lot of guessing was part of the build. I wouldn't not recommend this plane.

I did not have a good experience with this model and I tried 2 of them. First, this is not an easy build. The routing of servo wires, battery compartment size (to obtain correct CG), allotted receiver space, wing/stab attachments are all less than satisfactory. The critical CG balance point has to be achieved by adding significant nose weight and the manual does not cover this adequately. Also, the static elevator position needs to be adjusted to more of an up position than depicted in the manual. Additionally, this model needs to flown uncharacteristically fast to preclude unstable flight and stall. I would not recommend this model except for very skilled RC pilots with lightning-fast reactions. Both of my models were lost due to my error (stall) but it was an immediate unexpected event. I've been flying RC for about 6 years and fly prop warbirds and EDF jets routinely. This Freewing A-10 in my opinion is not a quality model and has unstable flight characteristics.
