“Despite what the description says, this would not be a good first edf. It isn't stable in the roll axis and is much slower to respond in pitch than most prop airplanes. For a first jet I would go with one of the other 64mm aircraft like the F-22. Believe me, that little bit of extra expense will save you money in the long run. That said, it's a great airplane. Since it's faster than many 4 cell and even a few 6 cell jets, if you can fly it, it's an absolute blast. It has unlimited vertical on a 3s 1300 and flies pretty well up to an 1800, but is tail heavy on a 1000 and both nose heavy and too heavy in general with a 2200. But especially with a 1300 or 1600 you're golden. Now for the things that make it a very advanced airplane to fly. Like any airplane, as it goes faster the roll becomes much more sensitive, but since the roll is so fast already, you definitely need a radio with dual rates, although you will probably already have that if you're buying even a first edf. The pitch is also very anemic and to launch without help with the heavier batteries you need to give a far harder throw than most other hand-launch jets, although this is much less true with the lighter batteries. CG is everything. Too nose heavy and it will never fly, too tail heavy and while it will fly, it becomes uncontrollable. Finally setting up proper control throws is very important. I flew it on the factory specified throws at first and it was very controllable, but not too maneuverable in the pitch, and I reduced the roll rate on my transmitter pretty significantly. As I got more used to it I decided to try to increase the throws (never too safe, but its turning radius made the landing approach a pain where I fly) and I pretty quickly ran into problems. With increased throws for pitch the airframe becomes horribly unstable. It flew fine during the first parts of its flight, but when I tried to pull a harder maneuver it entered a spin. Luckily I recovered and landed, then reduced the throws back to where they were. So while the airplane is durable, cheap, and flies well, it also flies like a scale airplane. Maybe a 3rd edf if you like the look of it.”

“Maiden flight was awesome. I used a 2200 mA 3S pack. Plenty of power for loop to loops. Roll rate was too sensitive at suggested factory setting. Works great at 75% setting. Love the artwork ! The EDF is smooth running at max. throttle ! Love it !”

“I have never been dis appointed with a motion rc purchase, but I guess there is always a first. Service and quality were good as always, performance on the other hand was not ,”

“First of all, this is a beautiful little jet. The detail is superb, and the paint scheme gives it a very scale look even for a small aircraft. Here are a couple takeaways:1. I barely had enough glue to assemble all the pieces, so I reinforced the horizontal stabilizers with CA.2. I added clear packing tape to the bottom of the fuselage and around the intake for better strength. This really paid off after several rough landings in an open field.3. Running a 2200mah 3s lipo was barely enough for 3.5 minutes of flight. It's fast, but time flies once you get it up there. I ultimately crashed it because I ran the battery too low.4. If you run the standard setup, higher winds will affect your turns, and may push the plane around when hitting the top of the wing at 90*.5. For the price this plane is awesome! It's the cheapest ARF I've purchased, but has the best detail and excitement.6. Go get one! You won't be disappointed!JG”
