“I love this little EDF. Maiden flight didn’t end too well though. Crashed at the turn onto last leg of landing run. Was about 40 feet up and jet did a death roll that I couldn’t pull out of. Destroyed the fan but was easy to repair with little other damage. Only thing I could see that could have happened was the right elevator hinge was broken after crash. This may have separated during flight, I don’t know. Rehinged the elevator and put back in the air with GREAT success. Fun fun fun fun. Would recommend not relying on the foam hinges, but to sometime put better hinges on for secure non eventful flights. Simple jet and super fun. So easy to hand launch and lands soft and easy. Maiden flight crash could have been pilot error but still don’t know what happened as the plane had been flying fantastic since then. Plenty of power on 3s 2200 50c. Great great flyer.”

“1. Plane came broken out of the box2. Customer service was lack luster at best, refused to replace, told us to glue broken piece3. Purchased the recommended - 3 Cell 11.1V 1000 - 2200 mAh Li-Po Battery with XT60 Connector and it weighs half as much as the plane, plane will not fly by hand launch or off concrete 4. Plane (on food scale w/o battery) weighs 16.15oz, battery weighs 7.3.5. When you add the front wheel it severely restricts air flow through the noseAll-in-all, the plane looks great. Does it fly? Yes, straight into the ground. Spent a LOT of time dialing it in (COG, balance etc.) at local hobby shop after the bad customer service experience at MotionRC and still same result. He said the plane with the recommended battery is too heavy and without modifications to the air intake and possibly a different fan the only way to fly it is flat-out 100% all the time.Lesson learned, should have followed advice of the RC threads. Will try to get it in the air with a pro at the local shop but may end up in the trash.Just an FYI for all of you considering it.”

“As with the F105 Thud, this one really needs the cheater holes enlarged quite a lot, otherwise you have only marginal thrust and have to (just) fly around flat out, which cooks the battery. Goes ok on a 1300 3s, but it’s no hot rod, Nice scale detail”
