“This freewingf-5 was a great and easy plane to assemble. Freewing did a great job. i have nothing against this plane. I did do my maiden flight today and i went to my older field that has a lot of trees around it. Well that was my mistake because when i was setting up for my landing, i was around a lot of trees and my admiral receiver lost connection and the rest is history. Nothing against the airplane, just my bad luck”

“I finally managed the first 3 flights on the high performance F-5 this evening. Fast! I was surprised how quickly the F-5 rotated and began a strong climb out. (Asphalt Runway) Once the gear and flaps were selected up it rapidly began picking up speed. After a little minor trimming it was flying like an arrow. No surprises. I spent most of the first flight throttled back around 60% for 3 minutes. Subsequent flights were relatively uneventful, just how I prefer it. I quickly became comfortable with it as it doesn’t seem to have any bad habits. A few ripping high speed passes, 4-point rolls and long vertical climbs were performed. Not to mention I fly at 4500’ and it was 90 degrees. A strong performer even at a high density altitude. I flew the downwind and base legs a little faster than expected, but it will slow down quickly with full landing flaps deployed. As James mentioned in the flight review video, it likes a little power on during final approach. Landings were a non-event. I’m overall very happy with the model from assembly to flying. The finish of the model is good, but in my opinion not quite as nice as the newer models. But it really shines in the air. And for the price, you’re getting a great little hot-rod jet.”

“Very disappointed with the paint job. Peels. Nose of the fuse was very flexible. It would flex enough to release the canopy latch. I repaired it with a piece of carbon fiber tube imbedded in the bottom of the fuse. Other than that it flies great.”

“Has more power leads from wings too short I needed to splice extensions be prepared otherwise the build was good this is my third f 5 Ist was lost to stall second was lost to fan in both cases was my fault flys great hard to see get glasses I’ll give it 4 stars because of wires”
