The last flight i made, the esc or bec was gone. I had to come in for landing, reduced the throttle and switched the landing gear to come out. At this moment, the plane made a roll and pulled the elevator in low height and crashed vertical in the ground. I tried to pull it up again and throttle to 0, but the avanti stopped responding. I think a 100A ESC on a 98-100A EDF is way to weak and dangerous. I used a strong and new HRB 6S 5000mAh 60C lipo and yes she was quite fast. Besides, this is our money that's going down the drain.I heard from people who measured 130A on the Avanti....totaly bullshit. Freewing should use at least a 120A ESC in this thing...i am very disappointed

Have tried some flights. In the last flight the esc or bec was gone. I switched the gear to come out and then i couldn't steer anymore. The Avanti made a roll on the back and went down in 90° at almost full throttle and low height and impact on the ground. The ESC is 100A and the motor is also 98-100. With a fresh powerful lipo 6S 5000 60C is the plane gone....has to be at least a 120A ESC....don't know if i buy another Avanti

This thing flies great! Very impressive!However, after only 4 flights I noticed a 2 to 3mm gap between wing panels and fuselage. I thought tha maybe the attach screws on bottom had loosened but upon inspection 3 out of 4 of the fuselage to wing connection tabs had cracked at the brass inserts that the wing attach screws thread into. All 4 landings were very smooth (as I said this plane flies great). But I think it is just a bad connection design...the airplane is HEAVY and the main gear is mounted to the wing. I envision there being a significant amount of flex at these connect points during taxi, takeoff and landing. I suspect many more people will have this problem going forward. I have since epoxied the wing panels to the fuselage, which unfortunately limits the servicability of the aircraft in the future. I really didn't expect this on a $400 ++ aircraft after only 4 flights.

Unbelievable performance in terms of stability, nice jet sound, capability to fly slow.Very easy to land, just open full flaps, stay horizontal, manage throttle to adjust your landing spot.And best of all, it’s really capable of gras take off and landing.

I have two flights now on my Avanti S V2. Paired it with a Lemon 7ch Rx with gyro and an Admiral 6S 6000mAh. Absolutely flies on a line, smooth and stable. Takes off from grass without issue (no flaps). Half flap provides great low speed flight and my landings have been perfect. Plenty of power for straight line speed and vertical. I've only ever flown smaller EDFs and wanted to move up to a larger one after seeing others fly the Avanti. Seems like it will make a fantastic "jet trainer" and it's just plain fun to fly. Highly recommended.
