Have had zero interest in EDF’s since. However, EDF’s have come a long way since the Habu was first released; more choices, more features, greater performance and better value. So…I felt it was time to have a second look at EDF’s. Since all EDF’s are NOT created equal, it was important to choose a jet that wouldn’t disappoint, again I’m pleased to say, the Freewing A-4 Skyhawk from Motion RC is a ‘keeper’! Incidentally, I’m considering the Freewing F-4 (8s setup) for my next EDF; great scale appearance and looks fast from the videos I’ve seen!”

“Well took it for its maiden on Friday I used low rate setting and expo per the manual almost lost the bird it was super sensitive. I'm now using 8mm on aikerons and elevator with 100% expo on all controls and flies way better still a bit sensitive but manageable. Going to set the ailerons to mms and that should do it. Very tough landing gear. And I installed the stock edf and esc and boy she's faaasstttt!! The F86 Sabre has a better jet sound in my opinion. Hope this helps.”

“Conducted maiden flight and all I can say is wow!!! It's faaassst!!! I normally fly on a grass field not a problem. But even though I followed the manual control this settings I used low rates it was almost impossible to fly 18mm with 70% expo for the aikerons and 23mm with 70% expo for the elevator and it was way too sensitive. I somehow landed the plane and suffered very minor damage to one landing gear fix was a breeze can't even tell there was damage. Made my own adjustments to the control throws will fly again later today, let see if what I did works better. The sound is awesome and definitely keep a close eye or you'll loose her fast. Hope this helps anyone.”

“As an ARF there's really not much to assemble just drop your edf and esc add a Lipo and pretty much done. The size is perfect and the looks is a top notch. The only thing I can think of is the optional Marine scheme the tail section is blue when it supposed to be red with yellow. The yellow water slide have the tendency to peel off and the esc that is designed for A4 the battery wires are a bit too short. Other than that I would buy another A4 without complaining. Will let all know how goes the maiden flight hopefully this weekend.”

“Overall very nice product. CG is to conservative (not a bad thing), like most FW jets, the throws are far too aggressive, but if you know this before hand it’s easy to tone things down. First flight was a little hairy due to a forward CG and the landing was a carrier landing on grass. Thought the gear was going to rip out but it held fast. Bent the nose gear back some, but it was easy to bend back into place and has worked without issues. Wanting to stand out from the crowd, I painted the vertical fin and used custom graphics from Callie. Overall very happy with this purchase!”

“I would of givin 5 stars but the throws were way off.I used the low rates as my high and basically cut them in half and that works great.Per other reviews I put lipo all the way forward.Works great.It is a floater on landings and stay in the power on turns.Overall great EDF flys very nice.No difference with all ordinance on flys great.Great job Motion.I use 5500 mah 75c all the way forward 4 min flights”
