“Upon delivery the shipping box had some damage and there was cosmetic damage to the wing. No fault at all to MotionRC. One of the pilots was also loose inside the sealed cockpit. I sent in an online replacement request with a few pictures. 45 minutes later I received an email that the order for the parts was placed. Top notch customer service!Upon receipt of the replacement cockpit I see that the pilot is fastened in with screws. The first one was just glue. So that should be secured better now.This is the first RC airplane I have set up in many years, so I'm a bit rusty. Assembly and radio/servo setup was quick and easy. Balance and control throws are per the manual.I was only able to get one 3.5 minute test flight on the airplane before winter arrived. So it is hangared now until spring. Flies straight. Negligible trim adjustment required. Most of flight was at half power. Quick and stable. Stays where you point it. Landing was very conventional, no surprises. Very pleased. Eyeing up the Swiss F5 next.”

“Just had the first flight. 3 clicks down and it's hands off. Flies like it's on rails, smooth and nimble. I had the rates on the high end and it was enough to do aerobatics and land perfectly. I had 4 flights this morning and I had the best landings with a ducted fan I ever had. Best plane in my stable.”

“Absolutely nothing not to like after twenty flights and looking forward to hundreds more. Very predictable and sturdy landing gears and wheels. Be sure you have a long runway if you are not landing on a grass field. I am getting use to the the long delay for gears to come up. I had a receiver issue on my first L39 after just two flights and total on the third flight so it says a lot that I replaced with a new one which now has 20 flights without any issue.”

“Easy assembly stable flight. First one crashed on third flight from steep climb into a left knife edge turn and was unavailable to recover either because of low rates of Orange receiver. Second one is setup only in high rates and AR630T Spectrut receiver and four flights without any issues and looking forward to hundreds of flights. Airframe is solid, excellent landing gears and wheels. Take it from a person that total the first one and went back and still selected the same model now that is confidence gain in the first two flights period. I have 150 flights on my F16 before I picked up L39 two very different handling jets keeps flying interesting.”

“I had been watching to see when the in-runner was offered in the blue and white paint scheme, so as soon as it was offered, I ordered one. It arrived in about 36 hours, and was perfect coming out of the box. There were absolutely no dents or marks, and the only paint imperfection I could find was a tiny bit of overspray on a red and white paint line on one wing, but that is hardly noticeable when you take the whole plane into view. The level of scale detail is striking, you will not be disappointed. The build was easy and straight forward. If you’ve put together any other jet, you’ll find everything very familiar. The only thing that takes just a little getting used to is the long (3-4 seconds) delay when you flip the switch for landing gear, but in the air it wasn’t even noticed. I took the maiden flight today, plus two other flights, and everything went perfectly, with no surprises. It handles just like the Avanti, and topped out one mile per hour faster than the Avanti at 125 MPH with a slight tail wind. Motion RC knows I am a particular customer, and I am completely satisfied with this purchase. It’s a great buy and a fantastic jet.”
