“Love the power to size ratio, absolute rocket. 100 mph easy with every flight. Stable and scale also with all the quality as usual found in Freewing models.”
“This jet is fantastic. While I haven't flown it yet, I can say the build was very easy, The panther has the same wing re3lease mechanism as it's bigger brother, the Cougar. On the panther, the release levers are located on the bottom of the wings, improving scale appearance. Also, the jet features what I call a "braille" CG mark on the bottom of the fuselage, simplifying setting the CG. I can't wait to fly this one.”

“I had about 6 flights on it before some trouble started, I put a brand new TP battery in it and shortly after takeoff it steadily lost power and crashed. Battery checked out at 94%. Flew again today and went fine til landing. Coming in plane dropped like a rock. Landings had been hard in the past leaving me to believe , in my opinion, it needs a larger elevator. The planes LG and other parts are pretty torn up. The cost of new parts and time to replace warrant just buying a new plane. I thought about it but as for now I think I'll pass. Again just my opinion. PS , you wouldn't like the photos!”

“Plane is great and flies well.Wasn't happy with quality of foam, only have three flights, not been out in sun, but lots of "gatoring" of the foam especially on both wings.”

“The reverse-function of the ESC is not compatible to an active Jeti Assist. The bootsequence of the Assist takes longer than the ESC waits for a valid signal, resulting in the ESC denying initialization (signal loss protection 0.25s according to manual). Without the Assist the ESC initializes without an issue. If you disconnect the reverse cable, the ESC initializes with an acive Assist. So it is either Assist or Reverse, but not both at the same time. On RC-Network there is a workaround described, but it requires 2 receivers, which is kind of overkill.Apart from this, beautiful plane, high quality as expectet from Freewing.”

“I had the opportunity to maiden the F9F today. The first flight was a little nerve racking as most of them are, at least for me. It was a little gusty but as I added power, it tracked straight down the runway and got off the ground a lot quicker than I would have thought. I flew around the pattern a few times before I started to put it through its paces and it performed really well. Landing was perfect and the flaps slowed it down really well. I did adjust the rates and expo for the second flight because I found the manual settings way to sensitive. I used 50 percent for aileron elevator and rudder and 15 percent expo for the second flight and it felt much better. I would definitely experiment with rates on this aircraft. This could easily be a second or third jet for someone with some EDF experience. I would not recommend it as a first EDF. Overall another great product from Freewing and Motion RC!”
