“Fantastic looking model, delivered undamaged to UK....really quickly.Done away with blue control box as I didn't like the jst connection system as all servos and gear in wing rely on one pin for power, you will need a 10 channel radio if you do this with multiple sequencer facility for the door systemWing is fixed with 6 self tappers which, while removable, isn't practical as the plastic inserts will soon wear out. It will be a one piece model sadly. I bought arf version...jetfan 90 fits perfectly, big battery bay, fits 8S 5000 no problem.Fit and finish generally OK, flaps a bit misshapen but managed to tweak.Overall happy, but a bit of work if you want it spot on”

“I have always had a liking for this plane, I have owned the 70mm FMS one for years. I finally got my hands on this one. I installed an 8S capable EDF unit I assembled from a freewing 1390kv motor and the new 90mm 12 blade unit, the eurofighter version. This is a much more powerful combination than it was with the old 12 blade unit. The key is the fan but you have to use the new housing as well because the new fan diameter is a little different. 5.2 kilos of thrust! My batteries (2 5000mah 75c) weigh 1200 grams total which is pretty heavy. I position them all the way back as far as they can go in the battery compartment. This c.g.s the plane perfect. on first flight she lifted off quickly and required little to no trim. She is not screaming fast like my F-4 and F-18 90mms are but very respectable. A great howl! About 110 mph. In level flight. I discovered early on why they were concerned (in my opinion) with removing weight. When I came in to land I started bringing up the nose to slow down, it exhibited a wicked tip stall. Well a few of these and eventually it ripped out the right side landing gear from side loading it on landing. I learned to A- keep up the speed more on landing and B- don't bring the nose up high, you need to set it down almost level. C- I also land now only using half flaps. D- I also cranked up the ailerons one full turn on the servo rod, this inhibits or delays the stall when landing. It lands really well now and I feel like I have a good solution. It is a big bird, the detail is just fantastic and I like all the lights. It is a real head turner. I really Like the compliant landing gear although it may be a touch soft for my fat batteries and 8S unit. Highly recommend it!”
