“The F-15C from Freewing is an amazing jet to fly! It assembles easily, but it's important to pay extra attention to ensure no wires are pinched when bolting together the wings and vertical stabilizers. The attention to detail really shows when it's in the air! The impression of this aircraft is much greater in person than on camera! It's easy to fly, easy to land, and the wings will rock quite aggressively before it breaks into a full stall, so there is a lot of forewarning before it get's too slow. Even though it is advertised as being grass capable, I found that it simply cannot takeoff from the grass field at my favorite flying club, but it takes off from a hard top runway without any issues. However landing on grass is no issue at all! The landing gear is very robust and even with a late final flare, the plane rarely bounces on landing. The nose gear on my F-15 was overly sensitive in turning, but adding around 25% expo makes steering on takeoff and landings much more manageable. While the plane will fly slow and can perform high alpha maneuvers, it really shines flying fast just like the real thing. The sound of the 90mm added with a led light kit afterburner really makes the model feel like a real jet. Even the sound of the airbrake is very similar to the real thing! The plane handles very well in the air, even with flaps down, gear down, and the airbrake on with the accessories the plane is very responsive right up the point the mains touch the ground! Like any scale EDF, it's important to keep just a little bit of power on for landing right up to the final flare, especially if there is any need to go around for another landing.”

“Beautiful scale plane but slow and sluggish. Air brake is neat feature but loose when closed. Plane should come standard with a upgraded EDF fan. Easy plane to fly but very slow/sluggish. Keep you speed up on turns of you could get in trouble. Great on landing with use of landing flaps. Recommend take off flap to help get the plane off the ground without using a lot of runway.”

“She looks great in the air! assembly went great! The only problem I had on her maiden was that I had to make an extra trip around the field because one of landing gear locked .. But it came down fine after retracting and deploying them again. Awsome jet”

“The light blue/gray paint job blends in with cloudy skies so I painted the plane a darker gray. In retrospect, I would advise against this and leave the color and decals alone. The jet flies fine but lacks the power I would expect from a 90mm. I have an 80mm A-4 and a T-33 which are both much faster. I hit the power lines and totaled the fuselage on the second flight. Not sure if I like this jet enough to spend the money to rebuild it. These pane are getting so expensive.”
