Freewing F-15C Eagle Super Scale High Performance 90mm EDF Jet - PNP Reviews

4.6 Rating 89 Reviews
Installed the Freewing flight stabilizer in mine it flys and looks great. Just wish it had more flight time per battery. (3min) on the 5000mah pack.

I really wish I could do four and a half Stars. This is a great airplane flies very well and lands very well the only downside I've found is actually two things 1 being the two-and-a-half to three minute flight time (that's on the high performance version though) and the plane looks great from a few feet away but when you get close you can see imperfections in the foam casting.

Free wing 90 millimeter f-15 is my second large EDF airplane. I bought a f16 used off of a guy in my club and love it, so I 12ided to try this F 15. I chose the high performance inrunner version for the extra speed and performance. I thought mind without the ordinance and it handles wonderfully. Set it up per instructions as far as throws and radio settings. I like to fly out on the high rate setting, especially the elevator because you need all of that throw for your flare when landing. All I can say is the F stands for F**king awesome!

Once again, Freewing has engineered an aircraft to perfection in the F-15C. The assembly was simple and everything went together with no difficulty. The model looks great and the 12 blade fan sounds like a turbine! The landing gear is a work of art and the sequenced gear doors top off a really fine model! Thanks again Freewing!

Very nice flying jet! Flight times are short. Flares well. Looks sweet in the air. Maiden was uneventful. I had too much speed on landing and I still stuck it! Only one flight on it. Ran on 5000mah 6s and when landed at one minute and50 seconds I had about 3.86 per cell so not much time left on battery. Maybe out runner version is better for extra stick time but I do have the need for speed so this plane is recommended.

First flight was a blast. No issues with the build and set up. Nice detail all over the bird. When it flies it flies like it is on rails. The only negative thing I have is the battery compartment is tight for my 6S packs. Would recommend this to anyone that flies jets.

I was thrilled with the low part count, easy build and everything worked perfectly right out of the box. Follow the recommended throws and CG and you can't go wrong. The maiden was a fantastic success and I didn't even need ONE single click of trim! That was pretty shocking as every bird I fly seems to need a little trimming initially. Flight performance was fantastic. Rolls and loops like a champ. Landing was a breeze with the flaps and airbrake. (I mixed my airbrake to activate on full flaps). I really can't think of any negatives with this jet. I would even recommend it as a potential first 90mm jet, she's that docile. Freewing nails it yet again!

Took a Saturday to carefully assemble ( no building really required ) and check the F15 components. Fit and finish was great and found no issues with the electronics, fan or gear. Took her out on Sunday and put in great maiden flight along with two others back to back. She flys really well at 125 mm CG. Take off is very scale like of pavement, she is very stable in flight, rolls and loops well. Set up for landing is straight forward and the use of throttle brings her in for pin point landings. Flying this delta bird requires knowledge of throttle input. It would be a great second EDF jet. Learn on the F86 first and then move onto this girl. She will put a smile on your face everytime you are at the field.D.W.
