I purchased the F-15 because I have always thought the Eagle was an impressive aircraft. This is my second jet after buying an F-104 about 4 months ago. My experience with the F-104 was great but its was a challenge to get decent landings. I'm not sure if our field elevation of 2600 feet above sea level has anything to do with it. However the F-15 was easy to assemble and the aircraft was easily as stable without the gyro as the F-104 was with a gyro. I have noticed that there is a fair difference with speed with the F-104 faster. Fortunately the F-15 lands beautifully at a much slower speed. I'm already thinking of what to try next. Freewing makes a great product and the support from Motion has been first class.

I bought the Freewing B-24 and was super impressed by it's quality for its price so i dove into a FW F-15, not as nice but overall I'm happy. It's a little tippy in the air. and had to make new elevator control rods because they were short. Also the front of the fuse is a little loose, odd but ok. I see its removable for damage repair.

This F-15 looks and flies like the full scale model. I bought the weapons kit for it as well and boy does that add to the realism. The speed brake is also very helpful when slowing the plane down for landing. Also, there is a fine difference between too slow and too fast for landing as I have found. If you hit the sweet spot the plane touches down gently and rolls out very smooth. Overall a great plane with some of the best scale takeoffs ive ever seen!

I have built and flown several turbine F-15s and can say without a doubt that you cannot find or build an F-15 of any brand for the price ,quality, and performance of this Freewing F-15. All can say the same about my latest purchase, the Freewing A 10.

Conducted 5 flights on my new F-15 High Performance EDF jet, and I must say I'm very impressed. The build: Very straight forward…not complicated, as everything was simple and well designed. There was very little gluing involved (just 2 pieces at the end of the fuselage and 4 small pieces to add detail – pitot tubes and such). The wings and tail surfaces screw on, and everything had good travel with no binding. Only problem was the space where the wires from the rudders go into the fuse was VERY tight, and quite a bit of force had to be used to get the horizontal stabs to fit. I was worried I was going to break the tails, so much force had to be used to get them seat right. Eventually go them in.There was sufficient room for the receiver and wires. I'm using a receiver with a satellite, and it's pretty cramped finding a place for that, but I got it to fit. The 6S 5000 mAh battery fits nicely with no problems. Just added some Velcro to the battery tray. The plane balanced perfectly at the spot recommended. The plane looks fantastic. This is probably the best looking foam model I've ever seen. It's very detailed and scale. The proportions seem perfect to me. This is a really big plane, so the wings can easily be removed for transport, if needed. Tail could come off, too if needed, although I wouldn't do it unless absolutely necessary.Flying: I set up the throws per the manual, and they were perfect. I flew it on high rate, as the low rate seemed a little light on the aileron and elevator throws. The plane flew great, with no vices, and no trim was needed. It was perfect with the eyeball test on the control surface alignment. I did it per the video on the Motion site (thanks!).I have the Hi-Performance motor, and I'm glad I did. It's not a speed demon, but it has sufficient power. I think the standard set-up would not be powerful enough for me. I'm getting 3 minutes flight time and coming down around 30% on the battery, with some high speed passes and full power take-off. Always want more, but I'm okay with that, as long I don't come down with a drained battery.I did have to put some down elevator with flap deployment. It wanted to balloon with the flaps deployed. Not much, just 3% down elevator on take-off flap and 7% down with landing flap.It flared nicely and landed with no problem. Just a little power on landing, not much needed at all.I did have to dial down the throw on the nose wheel, as it seemed a little squirly on roll-out. Let it roll out to almost a stop before turning. It will tip a wing if turning too fast.Overall, a very very nice plane. It's straight forward to fly and great handling. Although it's a big plane, it's not heavy. Plenty of wing and lifting body and lots of power….great combination. If you've got the Stinger, F-86, T-45 or similar big EDF down, go for it. You can handle it, and you'll be glad you did.Enjoy!
