The only thing I would do better is the arresting hook, make it stronger, and attach it with earth magnetic's.

Freewing/Flightline in conjunction with Motion is certainly the industry leader in foam jets and propeller warbirds. This is another extremely well made product. I also own their Stinger 90, both the olive and silver B-24 and the 1600mm Spitfire and every one of them lives up to their billing, and the F4 is no different. I did this version in my own Key West Sundowner Camo version with help from Callie for a custom graphic on the tail-yellow and red instead of the Marine Sundowner version of white and red. Also painted the wings with similar scheme, all to help me with visibility and orientation. Build was very quick and easy, although I also purchased the 3D exhaust nozzels and cockpit, which obviously took more time to prepare than building the jet itself. The only negative is the complaints many have that you can see on Hobby Squawk regarding the break-away nose gear pin. I haven't had that same problem because I changed it with a modified Spitfire axel, so can't confirm. Watch your landing approach and touch down slightly high alpha with the main gear touching first and you should have no problem. When turning toward the landing approach, with gear & flaps down at 50% or less power, use the rudder and some opposite aileron to keep it flat so you have consistent airflow coming into the intake scoops. This may be another plane you buy both, the camo version and the just announced grey Marine version. These are beautiful jets with unlimited customization options. Visitors at the flying field really love seeing this plane.

The most easy plane to assemble so far except for wiring. Love the looks and size. If I only had a place to fly It. Love war birds. Waited a long time for a decent size Phantom. Thanks to Motion for all there hard work to keep us happy.

Cant believe the size and the amount of detail in this fantastic Jet! Can't wait to get this into the air! Took a little while to get all the decals on, but i am very impressed with the detail in even the decals for this model. All O have left to do is set the throws and balance it and she will be ready for her maiden flight!

Although I havent actually flown it yet, this Phantom F-4 kit is impressive in its detail and ease of assembly. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow.

I placed order back in March on back order but I had to cancel it. I Recently reordered and received it in 4 days with free shipping with nothing damaged or missing. After sorting the pieces and making a work space, I watched the motion RC video of F4 build. As a reference I used the book to aid in assembly. Graphics from Callie graphics. I was always awe struck watching them go 90 degrees vertical after a bombing run. Looking forward to maiden flight as I have been following hobby squawk Freewing F4 phantom forum since its inception in February which is extremely informative. When I get a maiden flight in I’ll check back. Thanks Freewing and thanks Motion RC for honoring our service! “ We all gave some, and some gave all.”

Have a half dozen flights on my F-4 Phantom. It flies like a dream and I love the plane but beware… The camouflage works extremely well. I have lost orientation on the plane twice. The other day, I unfortunately lost orientation of the plane— went down and Got banged up but totally fixable.Keep your bird a little on the close side.

I continue to be impressed by the quality of the Freewing jets. I purchased the Avanti S last summer and the model's quality convinced me to take the next step and get the F-14 Tomcat. Both models are very well put together, look amazing, and fly great. So, knowing all of that, it was a no-brainer to add the F-4 Phantom II to my hangar. The model assembly was straightforward as expected and took very little time. The build video produced by Motion RC was very helpful especially regarding the setup of the elevators; thank you, Pilot Ryan, for the tip. I was a little disappointed that the plane was missing two of the 4" connector cables, but Motion got those out to me in just a couple days. The decals look very nice despite a minor spelling error on one of them ("eject kin" vs. "ejection").The maiden flight went very well, only a small amount of left aileron trim and she was flying nice and level. I took Pilot Ryan's advice and added a little extra up-elevator to the flap/elevator mix which made the plane pitch up quite a bit but not so much to cause a problem. The Phantom slowed down nicely with full flaps and the maiden landing was textbook. However, due to a weak/defective nose gear strut that snapped in two at the servo, a maiden flight is all she's had so far. I'll definitely be adding more Freewing jets to my collection in the future; the quality of their planes is worth the money.
