Great presence in the air and it flies very smooth. Ground handling is good and the retracts are very beefy. Well done FreeWing!

I've flown my jet six flights so far and things have been interesting. The first flight was perfect but on the next two flights the jet went out of control. Here is the 3rd flight description...takeoff, 3 min of flying around, drop the gear, turn to downwind, drop the flaps, and start a big wide base turn to final. Just as the plane was about lined up on final at 100 feet altitude the plane suddenly rolled hard to the left. I tried to correct with full right aileron but the plane wasn't responding. At this point 60 years of flying took over and I was just fighting to get the plane level again. At some point I realized that the plane was inverted at 50 feet and about to crash. Somehow I had a quick thought to try rolling left. The plane responded so quick it rolled 360 and was inverted again. I rolled left again and managed to get level upright and chopped the power and just fought the plane down to a pancake landing in the tall grass.Walking to the crash I quickly saw the problem....split flaps. The right flap was extended, but the left flaps was retracted...actually a little more than normal retraction location. Turned out that the flaps weren't working correctly...one flap retracted while the other stayed down. MRC replaced the flap servos, cables, and MCB and the problem seems solved as I've made three more successful flights. The plane is really fun to fly and looks so good in the air.

This model is very well engineered and put together. It has several enhancements throughout including stronger retract mechanisms. The thicker airfoil helps with slow flight envelope but also behaves well at higher speeds. The model is surprisingly light for its size. I was skeptical about the twin-80 power choice until I took it to the field - thrust to weight ratio is perfect.

Great flying jet, tons of power, super stable without a gyro and lands like its on autopilot.

Amazing how Freewing was able to pack this larger model in a box just slightly larger than the T33 box. The plane goes well together and once completed weighted 13.4lbs ready to fly (including couple HBR6000mAh 50C batteries). The elevator 23g updated servos were included in the box and were easy to install. The elevator control rods showed some flex even with the carbon tube sleeve. I replaced the set with 4mm diameter carbon tubes, fitted 2-56 threaded studs at each ends using JB weld, and 2mm ball links. This felt a lot better. The MIG handles better with some flaps on take-off, track very well in the air and lands great on the main gear first (full flaps, 1/3 power).Great job Freewing! How about a twin 80mm Rafael now?

guys, have only looked over parts and such. Still impressive for what it is. My only grump with entire project is the color scheme, too stealthy. I already know I can strip the paint and decals and she will change liveries.
