“I always wanted a BVM Bandit, but knew I'd never be able to afford such a jet. When I saw the new Freewing Zeus, I knew I could paint it up to look very close to my dream jet. I painted straight over the existing paint job because the finish is so smooth. The BVM Bandit paint scheme turned out awesome and I'm very pleased with the finished look of the "Z-Bandit". The flying size of this jet is awesome as well. It is so powerful, yet a very nimble jet. It reminds me of the Avanti a little bit. I'm so happy with this jet.”

“The 8s Zeus is a relatively larger and more stout airframe built for speed and powerful flying compared to the typical mid level ARF sport EDF. Give her a bit more room to maneuver at first, and soon she will feel very comfortable, competing with anything else you own for attention. Not as forgiving as the Avanti but worth it, as she has plenty of fun on tap. She flies beautifully. Quality, fit and finish is outstanding. I re painted mine for a “sport” Navy F-5 look.”

“I’ve built your plane exactly by the book and you guys did a fantastic job on design and building in quality. I have one unfortunate thing happen as my radio failed and the plane went into the ground. Never got to really test it. I must own 30 to 40 planes and I was the most excited about this to have another one is there any chance you guys could help me out on the price of another one? I never even got to land the last one destroyed on maiden flight please let me know. I would love to have another one and learn how to fly that one properly.”

“Great stable jet in 8S form. Color is nice nut hard to see/differentiate in some skies so ive painted tips red on top and black underneath, supper easy to see now.One issue that happens all the time is the canopy pops off in flight even when latch double checked. seems there is flex in fuselage on 8S especially when punching power on, this allows latch to slip past plastic retainer. Solution I believe is to add a piece of hook & loop(just one side) to front of fuselage where wood tab goes in. This stops lateral movement of canopy. Poor design there I think. would be happy to het feedback from MotionRC”

“let me start by saying I love free wing jets and have pretty much owned every jet Freewing has made. My favorite was my stinger 90, which was recently discontinued. My last one met a horrible demise, which broke my heart. I was looking for another really good sport jet.I waited for the 8S version to become available again and as soon as it was, I bought it. i'll keep this review short, flight characteristics are very similar to an F5 if you're familiar with the way, an F5 flies, and not at all like a sport jet. as far as the promised, 150 miles an hour at Le flight, my GPS never got over 107. Might be an issue with the throttle endpoint I've never had to adjust that on any jet I purchased, but maybe on this one it needs to be programmed. At 60% throttle, it felt like it was going to stall. very Squirrley, wanted to drillbit on roll. I had to lower the aileron rates down to 50%, which is more than enough. after two flights, I packed it up and went home and I was tempted to give it a one star review, but I think that would be unfair. It's a solid three star based on the fact that the build quality is good. The white is actually painted white and not just white foam like my e-file viper 90 which cost more. And the quick disconnect wings are awesome, Very good feature for those who need to take your planes apart to transport them. is it a cool jet, yes, but is it an easy flyer like the stinger absolutely not. and the 150 miles an hour promised I never even got close to.”
