Flys very good. Excellent airframe with lots of upgrade possibilities. 2nd to none in out of box performance.

Couldn’t wait to get the plane and it didn’t disappoint upon arrival! Build was quick and easy, setup was the same. Everything worked well. Until it didn’t. After six or seven flights the Reverse thrust decided it didn’t wanna work anymore. Like most with Spectrum I setup the reverse thrust to function with the Bind button since it’s a momentary switch. Used it several times to shorten and slow the landings. Well, the problem came while taxing back to the pit. It was far away and I didn’t feel like waiting so I throttled her up and she was coming in hot so I hit reverse with plenty of time for her to stop and instead she decided to full throttle! I stuck my foot out in a futile attempt to keep it from hitting anyone and besides putting a fairly big dent in the plane all I accomplished was cracking the fuselage on an almost new expensive plane. Decided I’d replace the wing so ordered a replacement set and she looks good as new after a very good repair job BUT she shouldn’t be repaired.. and now I’m worried about flying it at all since I’m not sure if the esc is gonna have any other “Issues” come up. So I guess I’m gonna replace the esc with a different brand. All I got to say is be careful, she flies beautifully with me almost unable to stall her and NO wing drop, smooth and on rails. But since I had to already throw $120 into another pair of wings since you can’t buy just one, and now looking at ESC’s this expensive jet is reallly getting quite rough to stomach.

I bought the 8S version because of the extra performance and because it is only slightly more expensive than the 6S version. This is a very high quality jet and is not hard to fly but it is very slippery and can disappear in seconds if you're not careful. Flies smoothly at all speeds and is very quiet. The foam is turbine grade according to the manual so its very strong. 8S is great but 6S has more than enough power to fly this plane with authority. Because of the speed, I recommend this jet for experienced EDF pilots only. Probably not a good first or second jet. Be sure to set up the flaps per the manual, drop the gear early and start slowing down long before you turn final or it will sail right past you. Some headwind will help too. Haven't see any signs of tip stalls at slow speeds. Very stable. Buy the 6S version if you don't need blistering speed. Haven't tried it on grass. Very pleased to recommend this jet to experienced EDF pilots.

Avion bien pensé, très plaisant, fiable, très rapide, avec des trajectoires très tendues, des montées verticales incroyables du fiat de l'immense puissance du combo moteur - turbine. Elle permet de faire voler l'avion avec beaucoup de plaisir, avec une grande variété de la position du manche des gaz, ce qui est très appréciable. Ainsi, l'avion dispose ainsi, d'une large plage de vitesse, pouvant évoluer très vite et beaucoup plus lentement. Bref une réussite.

Impressive style and great flight characteristics. Running on 8 cell 5200 . Its big and heavy but the plane flew spot on with no trim at all. Landing gear was solid and with flaps slows down nice. Looking forward to getting out again soon this Spring for many more flights. Great job Freewing!

I'm writing this immediately after maidening this thing, and I mainly got it to scratch the itch for speed when I'm feeling too lazy to go to my other club that allows turbines which is over an hour away. I have owned every freewing "jet" worth mentioning, and this is in no way shape or form any faster than any of the others. And yes I'm talking about the 8S version, even with LiHV top grade SMC packs. I haven't put a GPS on it yet but I know damn well from doing it on other planes what 150mph level looks like, and this ain't it. I estimate it to be MAYBE a tad over 100 and that's being generous. The other turbine guys that saw it at the field agreed. For what it's worth, I have converted both a freewing F22 and Grippen to turbines, and they struggle to go much over 130. They're just too draggy, and so is the Zeus. Most of my actual purpose-built all composite $5k+ turbines cruise level at half power at about 150 easily all day. They're much bigger than this and look MUCH faster, and this by virtue of being smaller would look faster to begin with due to the illusion yet it doesn't. The absolute insult to injury is that an old timey guy with a classic pattern plane had little issue keeping up with me. Even after a 400ft dive at full power, I was MAYBE doing 130. The only way motion could've possibly made that speed is if they had a massive tailwind. So for that misleading performance claim I'm giving it 1 star. Outside of that, It's honestly a great plane, flies very similar to the avanti, and the build quality and attention to detail is the best I've seen. But they seriously overpromised and under-delivered. Shame on you motionRC. I don't see how more than 1 star is deserved after blatant lies. I should've known as the demo videos do not look anywhere near that fast.
