I have several of these Flightline War Birds including two of their same size EDFs and love them. All use my Admiral 3S 2200 45C packs and are a blast to fly. With modest throttle I get close to 12 minutes per enjoyable flight with enough for one go around. I try and keep them close as they can get small real fast even at reduced power. I put this particular one together and had no throttle from the box. After troubleshooting another receiver, battery etc I removed the motor I found the plus and minus wires to the ESC were reversed. Also found the aileron Y hardness had broken wire (very cheap and thin). I swapped the ESC wires and still no throttle. Replaced ESC with an old Castle Creations “new in package” Phoenix 25 and everything works perfect. I will contact Motion RC and have them swap out the bad ESC for me. CHECK the wiring on the ESCs before doing any battery connections upon assembly. It was only a minor inconvenience as I had a spare ESC on hand and another better quality Y harness. Motion RC is still top notch as far as I’m concerned.

Awesome fun little park flyer. With a 4S in it, it unleashes a fast fun Demon. With that said I with ten years flying made the most rookie of mistakes. My first three flights it would start out fine then I'd just completely lose control of it and couldn't understand why? Come to find out I don't know why I didn't velcro in my lipo to the tray like I always do. The latch loop will NOT hold it in place alone I promise you. Lipo slides. You lose CG. You crash. Finally it hit me what was going on. So stupid on my end. Again though Awesome bird. Pilot stupidity.

Well it was easy to assemble and setup, flight coming soon at Test flight Festival. Hope to have onboard video of the maiden flight. The only thing I'd change in the kit is a servo and the rudder.

Nice plane, out of the box one of the best finish and paint jobs with one exception, a section of elevator was scuffed and also gatoring a bit already, this was disappointing. The water slide decals are pretty strong and easy to work with, and you get a lot of them which is cool. I coated everything with 4 coats of minwax, and it looks great. Wire management took a bit of thought, there is decent room under the canopy for my 1800 4s packs, but you can't run the wires under the plywood tray, so I did a bit of taping and zip ties to secure stuff out of the way. I set up throws by the book, and highly suggest being on low rates for the hand launch. I forgot once, and it was a handful on high. It will torque a bit left, so be ready. In the air it had a REALLY solid feel, I would agree it does fly like a bigger plane. Wind was calm, so I look forward to flying in wind next.Aerobatics were crisp, roll rate is pretty decent. Stall speed was quite slow, with a break to the left, and pretty sudden nose drop, but easy recovery if you get on it quick. Landing was easy, power off and slight nose down decent, and no nasty wing drop in the flare..it lands very nice. Pretty happy with it, maybe a bit pricey for what it is, but no regrets. I miss having rudder, and they thoughtfully added a push rod guide in the fuselage, so just a quick hook up with a spare 9 gram, and good to go.
