“This is my first PNP airplane and electric, I'm old school balsa wood nitro and gas engines guy.I received this package in 4 days, in the middle of the Christmas Holidays, USA to Canada in 4 days amazing. I unboxed the war bird as soon as I received it December 31st 8:30 in the am. it is perfectly packaged, you can probably drop the box from 20 floors and not damage the contents. Looking forward to the assembly. All the parts look great, the detail is very good, just needs weathering. Won't be flying till the spring. The assembly looks easy.I'm going to assume ease of flight judging from the YouTube videos.I will update with more remarks when I finish the build and test all the systems.Moe”

“I’m a scale modeller and have been since birth,,, I saw a pic and got it on impulse. Generally there are too many compromises in scale RV but this is spot on. Love it. Will just have to learn how to fly it.”

“Any fan of WWII warbirds must have this bird in their RC Hanger. You would be hard pressed to find anything objectionable from the straight forward build to her handling characteristics and performance.”

“This will be the 4th one I have owned. The others suffered various failures due to the Blue Box, stripped servos, bad landings, control throw settings. This one arrived without a blemish anywhere on the fuse, tail plane or wings. I did the build, but eliminated the blue box with Y cables for the gear, flaps and aileron's. After reading lots of forums, found a YouTube that described the control throws far better than the manual. Today, I was the maiden flight, and required nothing more than 3 clicks of down elevator to trim out for level flight at 1/2 throttle. 3 perfect flights of a fantastic looking Warbird. The following control throws were used, not high rate or low rate, just one setting for those who want to keep this warbird in one piece! Radio is Detrum 8C Tx, SR86A receiver, battery Ovonic 22.2V 50C 6S 4500mAh Lipo, pushed all the way forward. Perfect CofG at 90mm from leading edge.Control throw settings:Ailerons 22mm/22mm with 45% ExpoElevator 19mm/19mm with 35% Expo (going to reduce throw next flights)Rudder 20mm/20mm with 35% ExpoFlaps 24mm first position, 40mm second positionUsing the above, the aircraft started the rollout with tail on the ground until 1/2 throttle, no flaps, and with level elevator, took off without any surprises.Landing was without flaps as there was a head wind about 6 - 8 mph. However, in the air, flaps had a remarked effect on speed and great stability. Very easy to handle. The next flights will be to fine-tune the control throws and the landing approach with flaps.”

“Great looking plane. Water decals very fragile & break easily. DO NOT use the recommended elevator throws. Plane is unstable with those. Wrecked the first one since I could not control the attitude with recommended elevator throw. Also, CG is too far forward. Seems like those two issues are critical and must be corrected in the manual with an errata sheet.”

“My first 6S aircraft. This is a beautiful plane, the build was straightforward and after just a little trim the maiden was smooth and enjoyable. Couldn't be happier with this plane!!”

“This was my first purchase of a foam warbird ever. I originally had doubts about it due to it being a foamy but I was very pleasantly surprised, the quality of the kit is superb in every way. The lettering and roundels are easy to install and really make the Spit stand out and scream scale quality. Obviously it’s a foam construction so you need to be careful when handling, one thing I did was to give all the waterslide lettering a coat of matt varnish for additional protection. I haven’t flown it yet due to lockdown but I’m sure that will be no problem at all. I would like to see some small pots of paint added to the kit for those small dings that will happen from time to time or information on where the paint actually used can be obtained.”
