“This plane was a tough purchase for me. I typically go for American planes. Also I always buy fms, I was an fms snob. But I heard such good reviews and I watched some spitfire documentaries so I pulled the trigger on this bird. I’m so glad I did too. It’s a big, beautiful plane right out of the box. I really wanted a plane that was difficult on the ground and gave me a challenge on touch and goes. I figured with the narrow landing gear this would be it. But she’s a sweet heart! Such an easy fun bird to fly and the looks of her in the air are fantastic. But the best part, I’m getting 15-20 minutes PER BATTERY!!! I love the big beefy landing gear and the dorsal light is a great feature. Best plane I own, and I own a lot.”

“Good detail on the foam with panel lines and rivets and components - foam was straight and free of dents. Paint was flawless and looks better in person than all the pictures - Battery compartment large enough to accommodate wide range of batteries - flew great and a little faster than scale , wouldn’t call it fast but just right , needed some up mix with full flaps but came in slow and smooth very excited ! Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that the sticker quality is not the best , some are water transfer and some are not and be forewarned not a single decal is applied from the manufacturer (which I like ) just wish the quality was a little better adhere properties and thickness - take off and landing was on grass field with no problems with a 5000mah pack - Jose”

“Overall, a stunning foam realisation of arguably the most beautiful piston engined fighter ever made. Even Reg Mitchell wouldn't find much to criticise here...Any concessions made in scale fidelity (and there are very few) are made to optimise the flying characteristics or facilitate the fitting of the 6s 5000 ish battery without damaging the model in the process. So, the wing has a bit more dihedral and the nose section profile is a wee bit more square round the top - you can live with that happily for the benefits they bring...It's a great design, well executed with quality components throughout. Ground handling is fine within the usual warbird parameters and once in the air you're rewarded with all the grace poise and power of the full-size with plenty in reserve. I absolutely love mine......I like the idea of a painted airframe you apply your own decals to as it gives you the option to pick your own hero - I got Pierre Clostermann graphics from Callie for mine and I'm well pleased with the results and service. Please note I've given one average rating here - whilst the kit goes together nicely, do still make sure everything is straight square and true, all screws etc are nipped up tight and dribble a dab of Loctite carefully into any you wouldn't want to loosen in flight as you do so. Also, if you're using the included blue box, make absolutely sure on all your polarities before powering up, on mine + and - are laid out differently on each side of the rows of connectors. On ease of operation, no warbird can be described as easy and Spits and 109s in particular take no prisoners during take-off landing and taxi-ing, but, of its type, it's a joy....”
