Assembled with no problems at all. Vinyl decals very good, waterside decals not so good ( leaves a cloudy white residue under the decal once dry. Hopefully not so noticeable once weathered. The prop needs care whilst assembling to get it to run true, but with a bit of tweaking of the mount screws all is well. On all my foamy planes I strengthen the retract mounts to stop them pulling out. Although these look strong I strengthened them as follows. Remove the retract. Drill 2mm holes into the plastic moulding, on top and bottom surface, just thro the plastic, not into the foam, then two holes either side at an angle ( due to limited drill access). 10 mm long Carbon rods pushed into these 4 holes until flush. all holes wicked with thin CA and sprayed with activator. Mounts are now rock solid. I add that this is my own choice due to my field conditions, and not a reflection on the FlightLine quality which is good.Just waiting for the snow to go before I maiden. All looks good.

I bought this airplane a while ago but crushed it into a bush plant during landing on first day due to pilot error (first war-bird in my life). After minor cosmetic fixes I started flying it again a week ago. It flies very well and it is easy to handle in the air. Take-offs and landings ... that is a different story. This is my first war-bird so it took me a while to learn how to take-off and land this airplane (no crushes just struggling). We have paved runway and taking off in grass might be different since you can take off in any direction. What I concluded is that you need to accelerate very gently, and of course at some point apply right rudder to counter act the torque. Either from the beginning or once the airplane has tail up you need to apply some elevator (to prevent nose from going to ground) and then continue accelerating gently and steering with rudder, until you have enough speed to lift off. This becomes more difficult when you have cross wind. On landings you need to touch down on main with decent speed with tail straight (no flaring) and gradually lower throttle. If you lower throttle to fast you will nose down. After 1 week of flying two things failed on me. One retract would not close all the way even though there was no obstruction from outside, and the tail wheel broke off. Tail wheel probably broke because of all the wholes in our runway. The tail wheel has metal pin to make it stronger, but the issue is the metal pin is not glued to plastic, so the plastic will still brake. If the metal pin was glued to plastic it would not brake. The retract did not close completely because the switch inside of retract was not soldered correctly and prevented the shaft from rotating all the way to the end. I could not use warranty since I waited to long to fly the airplane. Because of these two issues I am taking one star off. Water stickers are coming off and are not good. Propeller and main landing gear are strong.

Because the distance between the two landing gear is to short it is tough to land the plane when it is windy

A “true scale” representation of Spitfire, excellent decals, ample power. Assembly was straight forward, fit was very good. Every pilot needs a warbird, this is the one to have. Transports easy, assembly at field quick. Performance is fantastic! Great plane! Well done Flightline.

Great Flyer amazing presence a must have if your into warbirds This is my second one my first was wrecked by a few mistakes made during a rushed build so allow me to fill you in 1 - remove battery tray and tape bullets to motor they come loose 2- tighten motor screws and mounts 3- retracts required increase in my servo range 4- don't over do it on the flap settings the servos will burn out 5- better to fly with one 5000 than two 3000 six cells in parrarel this plane will put heat on deans plugs and adapters best to keep it simple 6- blue box with the lights was a little qurky so the GD plugs are gear door and they will power the white light just fine 7-Add some dish soap to the water for the water slides 8- The decals are a pain be sure to take your time 9- Some builds say to remove elevator rods and rudder rods when building we'll be sure they go back into the tubes or you'll have a heavy elevator flex and on a power dive you will lose elevator and you will have extra parrts like I do If you fly the 55 inch series this will be a different expierence since you really have to fly it ..Like in using the throttle to land and rudder it's floaty till it's not then she will drop like a stone Slow half throttle flight will give at least 8 minutes Maybe 10 I recommend on maidens slow fly and shoot allot of approaches and it will balloon with flaps elevator mix is recommended

Great looking Spitfire, excellent flier, well designed. With Benedini Merlin sound installed and two exciters in the fuselage is very convincing.Thank you for this briliant warbird.
