GT Power Aircraft Lighting System Reviews

4.7 Rating 88 Reviews
I originally bought this light kit as a Christmas gift for our flying clubs dirt Santa exchange. Well, after all the gifts were gone from the table, and I was the last person to choose a gift, the only box left on the table was the I brought. Soooo!!!!!! I picked it up and kept it. This is a very nice lighting unit for the price. It has landing, nav, and strobe lights. I plan on installing it on one of my night fliers. Will let you know how it went once they are installed. I've bench tested the unit and they are brite

This kit of led lights designed originally for remote control airplanes also is easily adaptable to older quadcopters that have airplane style controllers where you must know where the front of quadcopter is to fly it. In dim light conditions it is impossible to fly this style of quadcopter without led lights to establish where the front is. The led kit works perfectly for this without any need to rewire the kit.

I looked at a number of lighting kits, all more expensive, and didn't find anything I thought would work better until the cost was considerably more. The only drawback is the length of the leads for the wing lights. They really need to be longer . I had to lengthen them by a foot to work in a plane with a 57-inch wingspan. If they don't want to lengthen the leads, they should offer extensions. Note: The Eflite extensions do not work. They have smaller plugs.

Guys these lights are AWESOME and they have survived 2 MAJOR crashes in my PZ T-28 which is now history....Tonight I mounted the lights in my HZ Super cub and they are still working flawlessly !!!!I think the Super Cub will be a better plane for lights since it's slower and not as easy to get disoriented with since both crashes were totally the fault of the pilot... (Me)...BUT the lights are still perfect !!I Love These lights Pilots !!!

I installed this kit on a Dynam C-188. Great kit. Works as advertised. The control board is small and can fit any where. I had to lengthen some leads, but that is no problem. The lights are 5mm and very bright. The entire system consumes 38 ma, so not much drain on the battery.
