“I have had a Heng Long ''Tiger stripe'' special edition Tiger 1 for around 15 years,, & recently brought it out of the closet after around 13 years,, to go thru it & detail it up...After doing so,, I wanted to see what new offerings were to be had,, & how far they have came with advancements in 15 years....I was floored when seeing the 7.0 upgrades,, & how little the basic offings cost !!I pulled the trigger on a Jagd Panther first,, & am so impressed with it,, I got this Tiger within 3 weeks for the Wifey.I asked her how she wanted it done up,, & she said ''Battle of the Buldge'',, so I then got an Airbrush set up,, & made her the ''Snow Tiger''..The detail quality of the Tanks looks evey bit as good as the 4 times higher priced Tamiya offerings,, when done up in paint & weathering ect.The programable functions are out offsight,, & the Infared is a frigg'n blast also !These are a no brainer,, especially with no tax & free ship from MRC.I”

“My old (27mgz) Heng Long's died! The Old Tiger 1 must have a faulty control board? It will probably become a prop for future battles. The American Snow Leopard (Pershing I think?) has split plastic drive gears which I replaced this past week with new motor/metal gear assemblies). Also the old tanks did not have the infra-red sensors so it was time for an upgrade (considering my 10 year old grandson was interested in them). The control boards in the new tanks are great! I love that the 7.0 version boards can be programmed for different speeds, machine gun sounds, and tank engine sounds. The 6mm airsoft BB's have twice the range of my old tanks. Everything worked fine out of the box and the tanks look great... Besides the German Tiger 1, I purchased the Sherman Professional (with the metal tracks). Now I have three functioning tanks but wish the old Snow Leopard had infra-red! I just may order one and use both the 15 year old tanks for parts? Meanwhile the old ones look great using them as props in a make-shift battle scene. I am also using the old tanks to practice my artist skills .. chipping them, rusting them, and dirtying them up with an air brush, tiny brushes and acrylic paint kits made for making the tanks look old and battle worn. The new tanks cost about $50 more than my original purchased tanks but considering 15 years of inflation, these new Version 7.0 were a steal!”

“I have the KV-2 as well but the Tiger blows it out of the water with its insane motor sounds. The road wheels are a bit stiff and not as flexible as some other tanks but the smoker makes up for it. The smoker has a delay till the engine fully cranks up. So cool!”

“I absolutely love it. The only downside it’s too small for me to sit in the actual driver seat. Be cool if there was a camera looking out the driver side of the tank. That you could see like the driver did when he drove the tank. Plan on buying more tanks.”
