Easy build and generally good quality but the supplied 2814 motor puts out very little power making it hard to take advantage of the otherwise solid flying qualities. I'll probably replace this with a much more powerful (though smaller) Sunnysky 2220 which puts out WAY more power. Not sure if my motor is just a dud but just disappointed to need to replace with a product of known better quality.

This foamie is excellent for the purpose of a relatively low cost while being durable with excellent flying characteristics. It is a good plane to practice 3D maneuvers and easy to fix after crashes allowing for quick turnaround to more practice without spending a lot of time or money. (Crashing a bigger balsa/hardwood gas 3D aircraft is extremely expensive and time consuming)Use the Swift 3D to train 3D initially or trying new maneuvers before going to your expensive gas 3D. Or just flying the Swift 3D like a usual "bore holes in the sky" RC plane... It's all about setup of control surfaces and gyro receivers etc. I'm on my 2nd Swift 3D and love it in my RC hangar. Have fun!!

Expected a much higher quality than what I received in this kit. I have had two previous Swift kits. One from Tech One and one from Grayson Hobbies. Both were excellent planes and assembled easily and the parts fit.Not so on this Skynetic brand. The wing is very poor quality. It is too thin by 3/16 inch to fit cut-out in fuselage. Extremely loose fit. Surface are not as smooth as previous kits. Control horns supplied are not as shown in photos, and will not function properly with Epp foam. As noted in another review, the fuselage is warped. This kit bundle reflects very poorly on Motion RC's reputation for good quality. The assembled Swift does fly, but not as well as previous versions that I have assembled and flown.

This plane is perfect for 3D training or just easy flying around the field. I equipped mine with LED lights which makes it a ton of fun to fly at night. If there's anything negative would be the plastic gear servos. I've been replacing them with metal gear servos. Highly recommend!

I've flown 3D in the past, I took a 3 year break to fly fpv quads. Recently picked up the swift, and it's impressive. Great bang for the buck. It flys slow, plenty of control authority without being overly sensitive. Things happen slower with this one to give you time to react. I'm running my CG 1 inch back from the recommended 130mm. Still doesn't seem neutral, much less tail heavy. If your looking for something to begin 3D, or like the old school style of low and slow with locked in prop hangin' this is it!
