I have mixed feelings about this one. I flies good. Price is okay for something that was/ is much cheaper if you can get it from the "other" source. Quality is also just okay, would be good if it was painted or had better quality stickers that stick. Servos, motor and ESC seem up to task. Book CG is nose heavy but safe for first flights. I set up throws that looked right to me. I glued the wings and stabs on. I have been flying an original Northstar for years. While this okay it is not as good but hey this is much smaller. Set up and balance like I like it does harrier and do zero speed landing. Roll rate is great and it'll do a 2' loop.

I have flown many RC float planes and seaplanes. This is definitely the best flying . Of course it's not a scale model, but if you just want an RC plane to take out of the trunk of your car, toss in a battery, drop in a pond, and fly, this is way to go.

This is my second review/warning. I flew my dragonfly again today. It was...interesting. I luckily had a fellow friend/flier with me who saved my derier. The dragonfly unknowingly and unexpectedly is high alpa capable. I didn't know it could do it and it cought me totally off guard. I was flying it rather well, but it got away frome. I fought it for control and partially recoverd it as it entered a high alpha manuver. Sounds good right? Guess again. It was over a wooded area and it was extremely hot outside. I managed to fight it for control for 20 or 30 seconds as is reamed for help.My friend John assisted me. He quickly recovered my plane out of the high alpha situation and landed. If he hadn't, I would probably been climbing trees. Just be prepared. This wing will do it all

Let me start by saying this is a good aircraft. It went together easily and gave no issues. The problem is the performance. There are NO control throws stated, and the CG is not that easy to achieve. Mine balanced out as stated in the instructions and was dead on. I had the ailerons set at 65 as I had been instructed to do so on hobby squak. It turns out it was extremely tail heavy and reacted excessively to the elevator It did take off from the ground but pitched up extremely hard and fast. I fought it for control and managed to land it after a moment of fighting it for control. It's not a bad airplane, just be ready and forewarned.

Motion snookered me with the livery. When I ordered it was advertised with a sweet orange livery, which I was willing to pay more for. Understand that this is an EXACT duplicate of the much cheaper HobbyKing “Skipper”. But with the sweet orange livery- I was all in. What I received was a HobbyKingish white foam with sticker job. Really - if I wanted stickers I could have saved $80 and gotten the Skipper! So I was kind of negative for our first trip to the water, however this flying boat was way more fun than anticipated. Of course, now the “15 minute build time” is increased by a couple days because this model really NEEDS color on the bottom, and stickers or vinyl wind adhere when zipping across the water. Solution is paint- what I THOUGHT I was buying in the first place. Bottom line - this plane is tremendous fun, but since you’ll want to paint the blank bottom save a bunch of money and buy the identical Skipper from HobbyKing.

It's a looker. She's well decorated, and definitely an eye catcher. I removed the dragonfly decals from the nose, and added a colored duct tape stripe along the wing tips and fuselage for strength. Haven't flown her yay, but soon. The only real issue is the CG. It refuses to balance if the lipo is in the nose. It has to be in the center of the body or it's a nogo. We shall see.

Assembled easily. Pretty good quality. Everything worked as expected. I did glue the elevator and used the double sided tape that was supplied to secure the wings. The wings seemed to be a snug fit and the tape provided seemed to seal the deal. I just performed the maiden. Everything went smoothly. Took a couple of clicks of up elevator to fly straight and flat. I used a 2200 3S battery. Battery placement was about an inch back from their battery mark in the fuselage. Flew about four minutes with 60% left on the battery. I was able to get in four flights. I also put some black tape on the bottom of the plane to make it easier to see. Tape went on the elevator tips, wings tips, and a black stripe down the center of the fuselage. She flies fairly fast for what it. Rolls and loops are performed relatively easy. Great value and a fun plane for an inexpensive cost.
