“The model itself is good quality, laser cut, very intricate and detailed. It was bought for my husband's 30th birthday. He's very mechanically minded and enjoys modelling of all kinds, so he is experienced with wooden models. However, the gears and axles require substantial adjustment to make the product work due to the amount of friction it is under. The suggested waxing of the cocktail stick moving parts with a tea light to grease them is not enough. The product could do with being supplied with a small container of proper grease or to suggest a mechanics grease to over come this issue. Model had to be deconstructed several times to fine tune the gear system, because even if you test the parts before final assembly and they work, final assembly stiffens things up and readjustment is again needed. The gears needed removing one by one under a process of trial and error to see which caused the problem, the cocktail sticks needed much adjusting and several extra greasings to get it right. Getting the thing to work took longer than it did to build it. The cocktail sticks snap easily and are under a lot of strain.Although the model is supposed to made out of all wood, the small axles could really have been done with being made out of metal because wooden cocktail sticks just don't do the job. This would be a necessary compromise.Another pitfall is that the train can travel 5meters under it's own momentum but only 30cm of track is supplied. It is a straight piece, so is barely enough. If you wish to purchase the extra track it will set you back another £30 for 4 meters, the railway platform is another almost £60.”
“Thank you for a gift finally difficult enough for my father! He loves models and trains, but he can usually put them together with his eyes closed. This made the engineer inside come out (along with probably tweezers and some swear words)! I will definitely be buying this product again and again. It was packaged well, and arrived on the eta given.I probably wouldn't suggest this gift to a novice, though.. It seemed not only difficult step-wise, but delicate piece-wise.”
“This locomotive is definitely a fun experience to build. The pieces will challenge you and will definitely take some time and effort. The final result for me has been a combination of disappointing and very confusing. I have followed all the construction instructions down to the letter, lubricated every gear and wheel that was labeled for lubrication, and trimmed every axle to the exact size. Despite all of this, the train barely runs. My first test run resulted in a distance of about 1 or 2 feet after winding the rubber band about four or five times more than instructed (if you wind the engine as many times as they tell you to, it doesn't run at all). On the second test run, the engine exploded as a result of several rubber bands snapping. I gathered similar rubber bands from around my house and reconstructed the engine, only to achieve the same exact distance of 1 to 2 feet. Those rubber bands then fused together after a few hours, so I pulled those out (definitely not the fault of the model kit, though). I purchased higher density rubber bands in the hopes of generating more power out of the engine, but I've only achieved the same 1 to 2 feet. Looks nice on a shelf but as a mechanical model it does not function well even when assembled correctly.”

Er ist begeistert.Die Teile sind oft paßgenau gelasert, sodass es manchmal etwas schwer ist, diese ineinander zu stecken, mit ein wenig Übung und roher Gewalt geht das aber Problemlos. Ein wenig Geduld gehört dazu.Das Puzzel kam so gut an, dass sogar meine Mutter mitgebastelt hat. Kann es also bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen.”
