“These appear to be very nicely constructed, all metal, and operate well (although I have not yet flight tested) -- they look like what they cost. I especially like how the strut stem grub screws are easily accessed to tighten (without having to take the retract out of the plane). One thing I did notice, however -- these do not appear to have current overdraw protection. If you jam one up, you will hear it continue to strain -- not the stop and back up a turn we have come to expect on most electric retracts (correct me if I'm wrong). Something to keep in mind -- if you notice a gear not going up all the way in flight due to possible jam or bind, I'd put it back down immediately and leave it down while you land. This apparent lack of overdraw protection is the only reason I'm downgrading function to good.”
