I've had this for a few weeks now and have used it several times. Very happy with it. Study and well-made, the walls are thick enough that even after maybe an hour's use with red hot charcoal the outside of it is warm but not hot to the touch. Personally I've liked using quality lump charcoal for fuel especially if just cooking for myself. Fast an easy. Maybe some day I'll see if I can get my hands on some binchoutan. When doing yakitori and brushing on tare, I forego using the stainless steel mesh and just put long (9") skewers across the thing. Works well that way - otherwise things can start to stick to the mesh. Mesh seems to work better with vegetables, shrimp, scallops, and things like that. For a dinner group of 1-3 I think this is perfect size. Maybe a larger group if it's just casually snacking on stuff here and there. For a larger dinner group with a lot of people hungry all at once I'd probably go to a larger size.
