U.S. Army format Dog Tags, replicas based on the 1975-2015 regulations. Made from mil-spec embossed stainless steel. This format is for soldiers who were issued tags between 1975 to 2015 using a Social Security number. This was eventually replaced in 2015 with the DoD ID number (EDIPI) (which we offer as Modern Issue Dog Tags).Depending on the issuing base, dogtags were either Embossed or Debossed as machines were replaced over time, we offer both options below (but Embossed is easier to read).Army format tags were formally issued to personnel of the U.S. Army, Army National Guard, Army Reserve, Department of the Army (DA) civilians overseas, and other authorized civilian personnel. Mil-Spec Matte Dog Tag Stainless Steel Dull 2D Finish. Most popular Dog Tag, choose this if unsure. Hole and rolled edge can be re-oriented. Complies with military specifications. Arrived not long after ordering. A mistake found after the order was sent in was corrected. (Out of force of habit, I put a period after my middle initial, no punctuation was used on my originals.) My O/L noticed this when she got the originals out (She's had them for the last 30+ years and refuses to return them.) and matched them to my order. Since I've reached the age of mental decrepitude, she tends to check stuff for mistakes. Fortunately for me, she doesn't find many, but enough to keep checking. I'm letting her see these since they are nice and clear, scratch & dent free, and have not aquired the patina of filth my old ones accumulated over a decade. The old rubber O/D green silencers were long gone, these new ones went on with no problem and look good. All the spacing is even and everything lines up perfectly. Almost enough to make me want to clean up my P-38 to match the new tags. If anybody mentions they are looking to replace tags that were lost or "appropriated" (being a DAV member and receiving my health care from the VA, I do hear this question occasionally) I will direct them to this web site.

I purchased these for my spouse. Her Military belongings were in storage and somehow she lost everything from her time in Service. I found your website and decided to order a new set of Dog Tags for her. She was blown away!!! They look exactly like her Army issued Dog Tags. Thank you so much for allowing people to recreate moments.
