“THE STAMPING WAS SO DEEP THAT EVEN WITH READING GLASSES AND A MAGNIFIER THE TAGS WERE VERY HARD TO READ. THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY I SPENT. THE ORIGINAL DOG TAGS I WAS ISSUED IN 1967 WERE EASY TO READ AND IT IS NOT BECAUSE OF AGE. IT IS BECAUSE YOU ARE STAMPING THEM TO DEEPLY. YOU SHOULD SEND ME ANOTHER SET THAT IS LEGIBLE.”

Hi Ben, thank you for your review and feedback. There will be differences in the appearance of modern debossed tags and historical ones issued 50 to 80 years ago. Differences in the elemental composition of the steel for the tags can impact how the characters appear.
