“The suture kit contains all the essentials required for on-the-go (field) suturing procedures and is basically comparable to the contents on a sterile suture tray which is industry standard and what I use as a doctor in the ER. Might I suggest adding a package or two of PGA (Poly Glycolic Acid) absorbable suture material for your kit in addition to the included nylon monofilament. Deeper lacerations require layered placement of suture so-as-to decrease the tension at the skin surface and thus yield lesser of a scar in the long term. Also layered absorbable sutures decrease open, "dead" space in a laceration under the skin which could easily form a nidus of infection.”
