“We went on a fully guided rafting trip and our guide, Joe, made the trip. We were a little hesitant to book the trip because the Nantahala is a beginner river and we had all been white water rafting multiple times. We are so lucky to have had Joe on our raft. He sensed right away that we weren't beginners and made the trip so much fun! He took risks with us and made the river a lot more fun than it would have been with another guide. He is also very knowledgeable about survival plants and the uses for different plants and trees. We were entertained and learned during the 2 hours we were with Joe. If we come back to the NOC, we will demand Joe, and you should too!”

“I had a GREAT time. Even though it was a beginners rafting tour, it was exciting. Kyle was a super guide. He had us maneuver in the water so that we experienced a greater level of difficulty like we were on an intermediate or advanced rafting experience. We did not simply "float" down the river. EXCELLENT time!”

“We were on a week vacation and had pre-planned the half day raft trip. We had a great time. The scenery was beautiful. I'm glad we decided to use the long sleeve shirts/jacket provided. I was surprised helmets were not required. We would definitely do this again. Our guide Spencer was very nice and during calm points on the river he would tell us information about the area, river, plants etc. We would definitely recommend this trip. Next time I would like to try the zip line as well.”
